I think it is a combination of things with Brad and Terese's differing reactions.
As somebody has mentioned, Brad has a better support network - a supportive parter alone is going to make a huge difference. Plus he has other things to concentrate on like building a relationship with Ned and even worrying about Paige getting so involved with John Doe which probably serve as diversionary tactics. Terese's main support and 'interests' until the explosion were Josh, Imogen, Piper, Paul and her work. Now Josh is dead, Imogen is on another continent, Paul is suspected of being the killer so she can't turn to him at all. She was pretty much made to take compassionate leave so couldn't think about work, even when she went back - what is she having to do? Work on plans to rebuild the area where her child died!?! She can't even have a drink to try and take her mind off things. So, really all she has is Piper but she's (unintentionally) causing more problems with stuff like the tattoo. Also, as her baby, Terese probably doesn't want to unload on her too much as she'll feel it isn't fair. She's gone completely inward and that is why the obsession has developed i think. Plus, yes, Rebekah is a better actress so able to convey the hurt and grief more than Gambling. |

I'd quite like Mark to charge himself, too. But that is probably hoping for too much.

well that's not hard, Bossy had more chemistry with a tennis ball than Paige and Mark ever did

That would be a rather strange story. Lauren must be mid 40's and Ned is what? early 20's? Would be different if he was in his 30's, but I can't see Lauren going there.
What with SORA, you never quite know how old people are meant to be! |

I'm hoping Mark will charge her with perverting the course of justice. Then Toady can do an impassioned plea and get her a suspended sentence.

I think we've seen Piper cry more about the deaths that Brad and Terese put together!
Neighbours are doing their thing again of having 20 possible suspects coming into the story and then being eliminated. I wouldn't be surprised if we still haven't seen who is actually responsible for the explosion yet! I'm still loving Aaron Ben is great too and I'm also liking Xanthe now

LOL at Steph smirking when an embarassed Lauren confided that she thought Ned was flirting with her. And a Summer/Boyd mention too, I miss them both.
Really disliking Angus at the moment he's such a jerk. I hope Xanthe doesn't sleep with him, she doesn't need to have sex with a boy to feel good about herself. Paige and JD have real chemistry but this storyline of his about some mysterious fire really isn't holding much interest for me. I've heard rumours it's probably going to be a while before the reveal by which time I'll be completely bored of it. At least JD's good to look at, which is a bonus I guess. |

Once again Ned is proving how mentally unstable he is. Watching him hit the punch bag was quite unnerving. I can't believe Lauren is falling for this guy. He needs to drop his hatred for Brad and stop trying to stir things up. Brad and Terese are not having an affair. They have kids together, but apparently shouldn't be allowed to communicate with each other? Ned's jealousy of Brad being an upstanding pillar of the community, citizen of the year no less. I don't see Ned contributing much to society other than hanging out by the pool.
John Donut is once again grating. Here he has a stunner like Paige throwing herself at him and he continues to rebuff her. I think his identity crisis stems a lot further than just his name and origin. Once again the police interview of Paul was terrible. That suit just made a few blase comments to Paul and didn't get any new information that could effect the case. At least Mark puts some effort in. Once again Xanthe is showing what an immature, silly little child she is. Nobody turns up to her boring party so she decides to do the dirty deed with Angus. I do not buy Ben being jealous of them. Ben is a very intelligent and grounded young man. I cannot see any common ground that would attract him to her. There's a lot of doom and gloom and bitterness at the moment and people with vendettas. Oh well, at least there is one genuine friendship with natural chemistry that is going strong

I think it's far fetched that Terese caused the explosion. If that was the twist I don't think it would be believable. I don't blame her for blaming Paul for it considering his track record and that he deleted CCTV and hired somebody to sabotage the ceremony. It's easy to see why he has had the finger pointed at him. However, the investigation has been terrible and has served more as a way for Mark to harass Paul rather than gather sufficient evidence. Also, he has given up on other suspects too easily by accepting paper thin alibis. Mind you, he is only 1 man and the fact he was leading and managing the investigation for so long seemingly on his own was a farce. There should be a team of detectives investigating it each with their own specific roles.

I think Neighbours has gone boring again. Since the explosion it's just become...blah is the only word I can think of. Toadie keeping Walter away from Sonya is silly, I couldn't give a monkeys about John and Paige, Ben's decided all of a sudden he likes Xanthe, Karl as well as being a doctor in every department is also now a hypnotherapist, Paul banging on he's innocent. Ned obsessing about Brad's every move. It's all dull dull dull.

Not sure it would be worth going into all that trouble just to get her off. I think most including Paul would make sure she did not face charges. Ceclia Saint on the other hand a whole different story.

Really don't know how much more I can take of one-dimensional, self-absorbed bimbo Paige!

So Xanthe is planning on having sex with Angus just because a) her party flopped and b) Ben didn't turn up. Hmm... Xanthe didn't exactly make Ben feel good when they were talking about what presents she had received. She was making out like she favoured Angus' present more than Ben's. I'm not surprised Ben left the party. Very disappointed in Terese over her bribing Cecilia Saint to tell the police that Paul had told her that he had blew up Lassiter's.

Xanthe thinks Angus is a 'cool English guy'. She's clearly deranged. There's barely one word in that phrase that applies to the scrote.
His voice makes me want to hurt things. |

I agree. There's not one interesting story at the minute. I don't even watch it properly now. Has there been in a change in producer or script writer?

I. Hate watching the predictable teenage love storylines.
The show has become too young in terms of cast now. There are not many older characters. The only one over 60 is Sheila. Feels like a children's show sometimes. Can't stand the xanthe, Ben, Angus story. Shame, because it was really good around the time of the explosion. The framing of Paul storyline is getting boring too. On and on... Sarah should have stayed longer. Her illness could have been interesting. Dumping her son there and no one really mentioning her seems a bit far fetched. Surely she'd be in constant contact with Karl and Susan, worrying about her son- especially considering all the trouble he seems to get into. |

Yes the Paul story is dragging on - still no news of what actually caused the explosion - if they knew that they might make a better job of finding the culprit. The ludicrous accusation of Ned was not credible - I hope they don't drag this out much longer. John Doe is beginning to drag too - by the time these two mysteries are solved everyone will have lost interest! |

It's getting dangerously close at the moment. Angus is like Ringo and Didge in one person.
. He's vile. I can sympathise with Xanthe as she is desperate for attention and love seeing as her Dad was barely there and her mother doesn't give a monkeys. She needs to have a massive rethink about her taste in men though.
