Did you miss the bit where Piper told Xanthe she plans to go "all the way" with Tyler on formal night?
I don't think anythings gonna happen on formal night now anyway... |

You say Paul is attractive yet he is a very shady man who has done many wrongs in his life. I'd say Tyler is a better man than he is.

Hasn't happened yet. All the negative hysteria surrounding Piper and Tyler on here is largely made up of false accusations and untruths. Yet I'm the spammer..
I don't think anythings gonna happen on formal night now anyway... I'm not anti Piper btw I think she's actually fairly realistic for a sixteen year old, I don't think it's wise to be with Tyler but I don't dislike either character. |

I know lobey, I really shouldn't bite and usually I manage not to.
Fortunately, that particular person tends to ignore me. |

Hearing about all these complants about neighbours i really believe that the main issue is actually with the show being too serious. Every character is too serious about everything. When looking at Toadie in particular he has become so boring, whether that is down to him becoming a father and maintaining a career or down to the scriptwriters wanting to settle him down it has meant that he has lost his fun factor. Back in his House of Trouser days he was far more exciting but now he is just very boring.
Neighbours used to be good with its humour but it has been completely lost now. This is what i believe is the main downfall of the show. Neighbours had a bit of a humorous moment last week or the week before when Toadie and Sonya were having a bit of hanky panky (since they're roughly in their 30s, I think it's about time they had some fun again...!) and Brad really wanted to discuss the Off-Air venue with Sonya...! |

Hi all by the way
Long time reader, but decided to join in the conversation. I'm not keen on Typer personally; I'm 28 at the moment and when I was 15, I actually knew a few people in my class who were dating 23/25 year olds... but watching Tyler and Piper by the pool last week made me quite uncomfortable... ![]() I liked Piper when she first arrived but she seems to have become a 'typical' teenager (albeit with quite a temper - I don't agree with her posting about the garage or the Courtney stuff online just because she got angry and needed to get revenge) which, since she's 16, is normal - like her saying to her mum that the formal is vital and she doesn't understand...! Two weeks ago, Xanthe was obsessing over it but it meant nothing to Piper. I think it's good that Tyler is seeing the 'immature' side of Piper - it's giving him pause for thought and a chance to realise that she is still only 16 and still has a lot of growing to do.Xanthe is growing on me, although her ditzy behaviour drove me up the wall initially, she is rather sweet now (except the dress stuff...!) I actually quite like Xanthe and Piper together sometimes - Xanthe leading Piper slightly astray and Piper leading Xanthe back down the right path... ![]() Looking forward to Elly and although I think Mark & Steph work well, I'm hoping Elly and Mark might have some chemistry. Your having a laugh if you believe this to be true. In no way is Piper morr mature than Maddie. She has not had half the life expriences Maddie clearly has. Un like Piper Maddie knows how to vlog, write articles in a mature way. Piper has a lot of growing up to do.
There have been a lot of pets about Madison's wooden acting, but she is a stunning looker! |

Agree. Madison made a very mature decision about the cleaning story - at the cost of her job - because she has a maturity and compassion that Piper lacks. Just look at the way Piper went off half-cocked and released stuff online that nearly cost Tyler his job, and Sonya the Mayor position! At least Madison puts her brain into gear first!

I really like Madison but I wish they would say how old she is meant to be. It would be good if she was 20/21 so she could be friends with Paige who badly needs a chum. But looking at the actress I'd say she's more 18/19. I guess thats also a good age because she can be a voice of maturity around Xanthie and Piper. I hope they keep her as a sensible type as thats whats missing.

How old was Daniel supposed to be? Madison is his younger sister so it could be worked out from there! BTW I see in my previous post I said there had been lots of pets - I meant comments! Should have gone to Specsavers!
I happen to like Madison - I'm generally happy-go-lucky so I like her sunny disposition Plus Daniel was the same when he arrived... although I don't remember Scott and Charlene (too young), I presume they've been easygoing and supportive as parents...?Agreed that the actress is a little wooden so giving her time to learn and adjust... Is it bad that I don't want her to be friends with Paige because Paige annoys me? I liked her in the very beginning but the more selfish she appeared to be, the more I dislike her...! And +1 to a few of the posters on here; I am (slightly) religious but not of Christianity but I still respect the calling and subsequent choice Jack has made - how could she fall in love with a guy she didn't know and equally, how can she honestly think she can compete with God? ![]() Incidentally, which Friday was Ben Nicholas (Stingray) supposed to have appeared in the background? I was looking but I haven't seen him! |

Agreed. I used to watch Neighbours for its humour and H&A for the more serious stuff.

I miss the humour Neighbours used to have and the family oriented feel of the show, it's become so serious and rarely does anyone pop into each others houses to just hang out or characters have real friends. They only seem to interact when they need a shoulder to cry on about their problem of the week. I'd love to see more fun and comedy on Neighbours again. |

There have been a lot of pets about Madison's wooden acting, but she is a stunning looker! She seems to be able to dispense advice without being offensive as well - such as her pointing out that Piper is consistently hurting Terese. Isn't she meant to be about 20 or 21 - I thought she mentioned leaving University for the Cadets position the other day. |

SummerShudder can you please use the multiquote function in future for your posts!
![]() With regards to Madison's age it was implied during her first appearance that she was 17 and just about to turn 18. But as Neighbours tend to do they have now made her older. She is fine as a character to a degree. But she appears to be way too squeaky clean. Perhaps that is due to her being the child of Scott and Charlene. But she is showing some potential as a character with her background relationship problems being quietly shipped along. Hopefully with time the acting improves as currently Sarah Ellen seems to be playing a Oak Wardrobe and not a human. She has improved since her first appearance and hopefully she will continue to. She is a very attractive girl but the acting is letting her down at the moment. |

I know Piper's supposed to be 'edgy' but by god, that wig was laughable. Did they go to the pound shop for it?

I actually thought the colour and style suited Piper. But it did indeed look like a pound shop knock off!
Think Terese was a bit harsh on Tyler. He was clearly trying to do the gentlemanly thing. Having said that, a lad like him should be all over that smoking hot new girl, like a rash ![]() edit: (typing as the show is on) Tyler...sticking a great big knife into Pipers back while she is down...blimey! And before anyone says she is acting immature. Remember Terese wanting to screw things up with Brad and Lauren? Blocking Laurens plans for Harolds. Or Ned screwing over his own dad? They all acted immature as well, and that is the tip of the iceberg. Piper has learned by example :P (steady on, I'm half joking!) And gotta love Mark becoming more and more the police equivalent of Doctor Karl. Not only does he investigate explosions, but he does school car park duty as well. It seems Xanthe can't cry on demand to save her life. That was more like a small child pretend crying to get their own way. |

If I was Xanthe, I'd be making Piper cough up for that dress.
