Oh i do agree about Paul. He is taking his revenge much too far.

Of course being falsely imprisoned is a dreadful thing but arguably it all stems from his own actions, Not excusing Julie fiddling with the boiler to try and get insurance but she wouldn't have pver reached herself financially if she hadn't been so keen to bring Paul down because of him having treated her like ++++ years earlier and him playing dirty tricks more recently.

Then, yes he was framed, but the evidence did point to him, and he made himself look guilty when he deleted the cctv footage.

If he's honest, he'd see that Terese wasn't thinking straight because she was grieving and that he would have done exactly the same, or worse to somebody he believed responsible for the death of one of his children so let it go.

Also, recognise that he always ends up hurting people he doesn't mean to as they get caught in the crossfire.

I do still like and sympathise with Paul most of the time as i do understand how he has ended up like this and can still see the young man that started in the show in 1985.

But, i still despise his actions most of the time and think he is toxic to everybody around him and his own worst enemy.

I think Piper should now defrock Fr Jack and see how Paige likes it.

But she wouldn't do that imo - she has standards and wouldn't steep so low. Paige is vile.

I would actually love it if Jack decided, off his own back, that the Priesthood is not for him and then got with somebody close to Paige, having seen her for the selfish, spoilt woman that she is.

Did you notice that she showed no regret at having wrongly accused Jack of phoning the Police?

To be fair to Paige at least she was upfront about it and came forward to Piper about what she did. It was wrong what she did, and she will face backlash, which she deserves.

There was some more terrible parenting from Lauren again today. Suddenly finding the whole thing okay as Jack chose the church over Paige. Just pathetic pandering yet again from Lauren. What Paige did was awful to Piper, yet here i am finding more issue with Lauren than i do with Paige or Tyler. Lauren still can't bring herself to ever tell Paige off. It's becoming a challenge to see what Paige can do before Lauren can bring herself to tell her off.

Absolutely agree with this! As soon as Paige updated them on Jack, Lauren acted almost as if to say "oh, really? well that's OK then" or the subject of what she did to Piper could just be dropped as Jack's decision meant her actions could be justified! I don't really remember her being too harsh on Amber (though it may be my memory!) but it seems like Paige gets away with far too much!

Paige telling Piper to not cry when she confessed what she and Tyler did was also irritating too. What did she expect!

Yes, I'll give Paige credit for having been honest with Piper, it was better coming from her rather than her finding out some other way (though not entirely sure how unless that drone is out again) but on the other hand, she totally disregarded tyler's thoughts on the matter who was actually the person better placed to judge how Piper might react as he was the one in the relationship with her and it almost felt to me as though she was only coming clean so she could be absolved of any guilt - as exemplified by the "oh don't cry". Paige wanted Piper to say that it was okay.

Completely agree about Lauren - she is way too soft on Paige. Her pointing out that Piper was in love with Tyler was about as hard as i've ever heard her be with her and it stopped the second she told her about Jack choosing the Priesthood. Basically, that Paige was upset over that excused everything and it just became 'poor Paige' again.

I wasn't watching when the Turners first arrived so don't know what she was like with Mason but she always seemed pretty easy on amber and Bailey as well. The stressiest I remember her getting was when she thought Amber was getting sucked into a cult and rushing into marriage but they were matters of concern rather than discipline.

But I do think Paige gets a free pass over everything because of Lauren's guilt over her being 'abandoned' - even though it was not Lauren's fault at all.

Piper has been definitely behaving brattish recently but i still prefer her over Paige!!

I thinkPiper could be spiteful enough to do that - but as she hasn't yet 'done it' I doubt if she would 'do it' with anyone to get at Paige , standards or no. Nobody who lies like she does can be said to have 'standards'!

Paige has been awful lately and there is no excuse for what she did - but hey, Tyler did it too! Nobody's saying 'Oh Tyler, how could you?' Double standards again - like Amy's cleaning and Aaron's Chippendale act! Everybody's condemning Paige (not that she doesn't deserve it) but nobody's condemned Tyler, and he was even more aware of Piper's feelings than Paige, and equally aware that they are sisters.

Oh yes, Tyler is every bit as much to blame but I guess the only difference is that he has ended the relationship due to how Piper was behaving and they don't have to be in each others lives in any meaningful way whereas Paige is still Piper's sister and will always be Piper's sister.

As I say, i don't have a sister so it is hypothetical but I think i would find the betrayal of a sister more hurtful and harder to forgive and forget than that of an ex boyfriend, even very recent ex boyfriend.

Hopefully somebody might say something to Tyler about it, stating that it proves why everybody was so concerned about him being with Piper in the first place.

Sorry I haven't mastered the art of multiple quotes yet. I was not watching in 1985 so have only ever known Paul as an increasingly unpleasant, not to sat sleazy character who should have been locked up years ago. His 'revenge' in this case has backfired as it's hurt his daughter,and of course he couldn't credit Therese with burying the story for Amy's sake, and more than he could credit Mark with doggedly going after Julie Quill and thereby securing his freedom! It's his sheer hypocrisy and spite that I can't stand. Hope he does't get Lassiter's back - he's been in and out of there like a fiddler's elbow and it's getting very boring! In fact Paul is getting very boring!

In his defence he had no idea to start with about Amy. And Mark did try and force him inside in the first place. But he is a spiteful character. For me Paul belongs with Lassiters but i do agree that his character is very repetitive. The issue is that the writers are running out of things to do with the character of Paul. What does need to happen with Paul though is him moving back into Ramsay Street.

Felt so bad for Piper when she learned about Paige/Tyler's hook-up. Brad is such an ineffective father. His daughter is heart broken due to his other daughters antics, and his approach is so soft (as is Lauren's). Paige just gets away with everything without even trying. Granted, Paige didn't know how badly Piper had fallen for Tyler, but still, she should have empathised more.


Paul already did do something worse when Cameron was killed accidentally by Max. Paul got a gun and ambushed him at night, intent to kill Max in a vengeful rage. I don't remember who stopped him, but Elle went on to gaslight Max, which saw him enter a psych ward at EH.

Steph should really remind Paul of this, as I'm sure she's the only one on the show that knows (possibly Toadie and the Ks, but I can't be sure). Paul has a very selective memory. He should cut Terese some slack, but I think he's nursing a broken heart, and probably does understand why she did what she did, but is hurt that his love was not enough. Wounded pride and all that is a dangerous thing where Paul is concerned.

I do love it when Paul and Terese spar; you can tell the actors have fun with these scenes. You can also tell that these two should get their acts together and get together.

Love seeing Lucy again. But, I really think they should just gloss over her absences, as trying to explain them never paints her in a good light. Her brother was wrongfully imprisoned and she couldn't fly over because...? Yeah, nothing that couldn't have been worked out. Chris would have looked after his daughter, for one.

You don't need to be a minor for your parents to call you out on behaving outrageously or to tell you a few home truths. If I had done that to my sister my parents wouldn't have hesitated to make their disapproval clear.

wow this thread totally proves the adage that women hate each other, all I as a bloke is in Paige is a hot chick, fine she is not prefect im not, and neither is anybody.

As for Paul, I am confused as to why Lucy is over seeing the sale of "Lassisters" as I understood it, Quill owned the hotel, so unless Quill have only owned the license to run it all this time, im confused as to why they dont just do a half and half deal, Paul owns half and Lassisters the other half.

Given Paul's reputation in general I am surprised anyone wants to do business with him, let alone be an investor in his latest business plan. It is indeed the stuff of family fueds but just to clarify, this isn't a gender thing for me but a familial thing. If the genders were reversed, and it was a man sleeping with his brothers recent ex, i would say his betrayal was greater than the girls. Way back when, in Ee, sharongate, i felt that whilst both Sharon and Phil behaved appallingly, ophil behaved worse as it was his brother with all that history he was betraying whereas at the end of day, Sharon had only known him a couple of years and people do fall out out of love.

For all that, I do think there is a tenancy in society to always blame the woman in such situations - she is the temptress, the man helpless to resist the seduction.

Re Paul, I do think that having seen him at the beginning, and his first marriage so what 'turned' him hard, ruthless, selfish and it was a conscious decision, albeit borne out of hurt and bitterness that he wanted to become like that as those people 'won' whereas nice guys got trampled on probably makes a big difference to how he is viewed.

I can see the battle there and both the nice guy of the start now, and oddly germs of the man he would become when rewatching the first year - which i'm currently doing.

Tyler is no innocent in this, I have gone right off him.

As for him not being in a relationship with Piper - I have to disagree. He was. They were meeting up and kissing and had declared their feelings for each other. They had not had sex but that in itself does not mean they were not in a relationship. Sex is not the bee all and end all of everything. (Important as it is).

Piper and Tyler were in a relationship.

They told each other how they felt, they told other people how they felt, they said they wanted to be together, to date properly but Tyler said he wanted her parents consent. When Piper lied to him, they did stuff together like teaching her to drive and snogging and originally he was going to the formal as her date, her boyfriend and they were on the point of sleeping together.

I thought the relationship was a mistake and doomed to failure and much of it was based on Piper's lies, but they were in a relationship. Mark knew it, Nate knew it, Aaron knew it, Steph knew it, Brad and Terese knew it and Paige would have known it if she had bothered talking to her family about anything other than herself over the past few months.

Being over 18 doesn't mean you can run wild and parents can't voice their disappointment and lay some ground rules. Paige lives in Brad and Lauren (well Laurens really) home and she disrespected that by throwing a party. She should be taken in hand for that if nothing else. Plus the issue of hurting Piper. No, they can't ground her but they could make it clear that they feel she is in the wrong and it is Piper that deserves their sympathy and care and Paige has some making up to do, to Piper.

Oh so, any woman that has a problem with Paige, it's only because "all women hate each other". But as a man you just see "a hot chick". Which plays into the stereotype that men will forgive a girl/woman anything if they are pretty/sexy.

I do agree about Lucy. She*'s talking as though "Lassiters' is a golbal organisation of which the Erinsborough hotel was just one branch which they leased to Quills.

Firstly, Lucy actually runs the 'Daniels Corporation' as set up by Rosemary in the 70s which purchased Lassiters when Jack sold it but kept the name 'Lassiters' as it had a good name in the area. Paul at first managed the Daniels Corporation Australian end but then started up the Robinson Corporation, which owned Lassiters (somehow) but again, kept the name due to brand loyalty.

There never has been a Worldwide Lassiters business and Lucy wouldn't run it even if there were. And the Quills bought it, they didn't just lease.

Paul's now facing the consequences for him paying that lad to forward everything he found on Ryan's past to the paper. Amy'll go mad if she finds out what he did. Paul's his own worst enemy at times. Good on Ben for giving Piper a home truth. I thought she was more sensible and grown up than that. She was behaving like she was obsessed with Tyler. She's just going to end up proving Tyler right in what he said to her when he dumped her. So, are Tyler and Paige going to have a relationship after that kiss in the pool? Hmm... Let's see.

maybe I am being kind due to her being hot, but there is alot of hate for both her and her half sister, (who I actually have more of an objection to) in this thread. Its just too much. Also in what way was that party out of control?
