So Xanthe becomes temporary friends with Alison and so Piper makes friends with a cat?!
Granted it was adorable & I love cats, but even I thought it a bit random! Unless they're going through a series of animal cameos culminating in the snake we saw in the "coming up" clips last week! This is changing the subject from Piper/Paige/Tyler but I have warmed to Gary as a character. I just wonder if the writers will go down the predictable line of doing Paul's dirty work for him. (Will the Worry Tree be able to hold anymore pegs?! )Also, I noticed Charlie called Steph "Mum" in today's episode whereas previously, I recall he just called her Steph. It was nice anyway ![]() |

Not sure Susan needs to take any responsibility for the bike lane fiasco. The line of responsibility has evolved since she made the crack about Karl never following through with his ideas. You'd have to have a victim complex to think your throwaway comment (which she didn't know Karl had heard) was responsible for death threats and council budget issues.
The person responsible for all this is the hit & run driver. Who was the hit & run driver? Are we supposed to believe it's Clive West, the man waging war against Sonya? Karl and Aaron have continued campaigning for bike lanes, even after Clive West started his hate campaign by mowing down the bikes and threatening Sonya. Now there's death threats and brick throwing targeting Toadie, too. I think it's safe to say Susan is not responsible for all that. I do think that was way harsh of Susan to talk to the Star, knowing Tim Collins has a vendetta against her. Sonya is supposed to be her friend. She's adding fuel to Clive West's fire. On the Hit and Run scenario Clive was responsible for the bikes but not for Jimmy as the cars were completely different. I'm surprised thus far that Neighbours have ignored who hit Jimmy. I completely agree with Susan and the Star, she just acted out in annoyance at her school program being pulled. |

Talking of Steph and Charlie, what is going on there? I thought he still lived with his father in Fiji but they had allowed her contact so he visited occasionally. But now he is enrolled in Erinsborough High which is much more permanent with no explanation offered.

And with all the problems about Tyler being too old for Piper, why do they appear to have found Xanthe a 35yr old schoolboy to flirt with?

Any scenes with Paige & John together just make me want to go to sleep. SO DULL. John I can't even handle full stop, sooooo boring.
Also since when did Charlie move to the street? There was so much drama about not letting Steph even see Charlie for a visit and now they've just let him move in with her? |

Come on now. Comparing Elly to Billie Piper? Billie Piper looks she was kicked out of the Banana Splits because even they thought her teeth were too distracting.

What a useless boyfriend Mark is, telling Elly that she's 'obviously attractive' She really didn't need to hear that (Head is big enough already) and wheres the loyalty to Steph? Elly rocks up and after 5 minutes he's putty in her hands. What a shallow wimp. Dump him Steph!

![]() ![]() only comparing in that both of them went for huge veneers that meant they couldn't talk properly. I now have the pair of them in my head dancing about singing one banana, two banana, three banana, four

Ellie has a comeuppance of sorts when

Spoiler
Having said that, agree about the teeth. As I said, Jack from On The Buses springs to mind - or a row of tombstones! Her behaviour is inappropriate for a teacher - the remark to Piper was uncalled for and unprofessional and putting selfies on social media where your students can see them is asking for trouble. But perhaps that's what she wants! |

Paige boxing
Was it wise to have people boxing in the middle of a cafe-recreation area? Anyone who got hit could have banged their head on the edge of the table or crashed into a computer.
Apart from the risk of damaging some of the facilities there is a big risk of somebody being seriously hurt. surely Oz has H&S regulations like we do? |

Yeah the boxing was dumb. Sparring in a small area without any kind of enclosure and all the distractions was asking for trouble. But lately I think Neighbours has been very lazy with all these contrivances just to push a story or agenda.
And what is with the Rebbechis? They both own businesses and only have a modest sized house with one child, yet they never seem to have any money at all. Paige being smacked in the face though. I obviously don't condone violence toward women, but boy that was sweet

Paige was being quite aggressive in her boxing imo and I was delighted when she got knocked out even though it was an accident. Every thing she says or does is annoying me at the moment!

She really was. I'm almost ashamed of how much I enjoyed seeing her get a punch in the face.
She deliberately went against Brad to set up the boxing in the first place so she's only got herself to blame imo. |

The house is a 4 bedroom and would have been quite pricey. Wasn't Lucas' house £750k? Although that one seems to expanded, gained a pool and had the sofa bed/quick shag area added. That modest house would be worth over £400k in our money which is cheap for the south but out of reach for a lot of areas over here. Also Toadie has to wait for someone in the street to get into a legal pickle to get a client .

The actor who plays Brad is terrible! His expression when the camera panned back to him as Paige was knocked to the floor was akin to one who had just missed their bus; mild disappointment. Most of us might be fed up of Paige & her antics but he's supposed to be her loving, caring father.

I get that she is mixed up and a part of me does sympathise with her but she is SO self involved it is hard to empathise fully with her! |

He appears to have only one expression - bewildered! And his hair distracts me too as it never really looks clean and seems to change length between scenes.

I'm not sure Brad has a good bond with any of his kids. Ned because he didn't see him, Paige because he didn't know she existed and Piper because she was packed off to Canada for years. I don't remember him being close with Imogen either. Maybe he was better with Josh due to the swimming. Or maybe he's just a poor actor.
Paige being lamped round the mush didn't bother me at all. If it was Elly I'd have been happier. I've never disliked a character more than her - usually I'm either not fussed or like them. For some reason she really gets on my wick. |

@Mrs.Deschanel I forgot about them getting a loan for the nursery. It begs the question though, why pay someone else to manage the Nursery and be losing money that way?
Does anyone know if Sonya would be paid for being mayor? Surely people don't do it for the love of it??? |

The worst thing is i assume she has signed a 3 year deal so we have to suffer her for a long time .

Kip Gamblin is the best actor in terms of putting his hand through his greasy hair whether he has just lost a son/father or misplaced his pen. Same expression, different meanings. Same terrible acting.

Or his underpants when he's at it with someone who isn't his wife. Hopefully they'll kill off Elly when the writers see how much the viewers dislike her. Even on social media she's getting slated and this is people who were drooling over Piper and Tyler together so not the sharpest.Quote:
