I guess they don't have locks in Oz as anyone can apparently get into a house, hotel, boiler room etc without any problem.

Also Steph needs to wake up a bit, she didn't know she was being followed, nor did she feel eyes of hate staring at her from about 3 feet away.

Desperately trying to catch up after putting Neighbours on hold for the Olympics. I don't seem to have missed much and think I might just delete the rest and read the comments on here instead
I hope you didn't miss Hissing Sid - best thing on neighbours for the whole year!!

Ditto, because she was really well written, and importantly brilliantly played, she was a hugely likeable and sympathetic character, even when making a move on a married bloke.

Love Gary, Terese should so grab him, they work really well together
I loved Naomi too, she was one of my favourites.

I have often wondered about this and the fact that people readily go in and out of each others' homes. Is this an Australian thing?

With someone wandering around planting snakes (good acting there!) you would think they would be more careful - I know I would.

A shame if they do kick him out of the church really. Why make him a priest if they were only going to make it last a month or two?
So that they could do the priests in love dilemma thing?

He would only get kicked out of the church if he broke the secret of the confessional, which he hasn't done.
Yet.
True, he probably won't say anything, but from yesterday's clip, he seems to be wrestling with his conscience over it. I think the police will view it as withholding information.

I believe the law knows the position priests are in and would respect that.

Seems a bit pointless, do go through the whole phase of who is John Doe and then to make him a priest and throw it all in after a couple of months a waste. I hope they keep him as a priest. It would be a funny story-line for he and Susan to contest for Brad and Laurens wedding. Although you sort of sense that they will conveniently forget that Susan is a celebrant

Definitely! Maybe he should win Best Newcomer or Best Actor at the next soap awards!

Mark stoops to a new low - bugging a confessional for crying out loud. Whether he understands the 'rules' surrounding it or not, it is morally wrong to do it (it's not just the person he's chasing whose confessions he'll hear aside from anything else) it is also illegal. The Law does not view a Priest keeping confessional secret as with holding information - it is an exception to the rule.

Also, a Policeman actually say "I don't care about what happens in Court". He deserves to lose his job.

Finally, the chances of Snake Guy returning to the Confessional, at least at that Church is pretty unlikely now surely - he saw Jac rush in to warn Steph so would assume that it is no longer a 'safe' place for him.

Wanted to slap pOaige again - Jack never indicated that the Bible lessons were a way for them to 'have a future' - you just read that into it you stupid girl. Fine, don't want a part of Jack's God or of him - blessed relief for us all.

Good post. I understand that Mark loves Steph and obviously wants to protect her, but bugging a confessional booth was low!

I seem to be in the minority but I am enjoying the Jack storyline now, though it annoys me how little grasp of his dilemma the likes of Paige and Mark have shown. At least he has tried to protect Paige, and latterly Steph - its not an easy position he's in and I think he has handled it pretty well.

I seriously hope today's outburst will mark the beginning of the end of Elly's teaching career, but I suspect they're going to say she has some illness and all will be forgiven!

Me too, but there was such a huge buildup to the migraine that's bound to be the excuse! And she and Ned seem very well advanced - snuggling up to him at a 'family lunch'!

I wonder if Ellie has bi polar. Just the way she's acting seems to suggest it could be that.

I grew up in an area in Northern Ireland where doors were only ever locked once the last person went to bed and everyone wandered in and out of each other's houses. It was actually really nice, there was a lovely sense of community and belonging. I miss it.

There's got to be something amiss with Elly medically - the way she was swaying with her headache and taking her tablets and of course there was the falling over incident a few weeks ago when she seemed drunk but swore she was teetotal.

Re her marking Piper down i surely that is easily checked re how the prohect was set up - if it was a collaboration and being marked asu such or whether each student had to xdeclare which part of the film they were responsible for and they were being marked for those sections. Also, check whether any other students were marked diFferently for the same project.

Hold up, KK. I think Paige is right to be angry and hurt at Jack for his behaviour. He should have known how it would look to Paige by spending so much time with her, being concerned about her, especially knowing she's in love with him. His heart may have been in the right place in wanting to protect her, but I think her reaction is believable and natural. Of course Paige would read in to it - she loves him and any kind of attention, especially the amount Jack has been paying her, would give her false hope. It does feel like manipulation to her. Makes perfect sense to me.

Paige should have been thankful that Jack was looking to protect her and try and safeguard her from the stalker. Instead she goes on about how it is all church, church, church with him. Really Paige needs a mirror to see her own Paige, Paige Land that she is stuck in.

With Mark Brennan, wiring a confessional is about as low as you can go in a church as a policeman. Should be sacked for it, but instead im sure they will praise him for bringing justice at some point. Why do the Police Department continually employ someone who has been suspended multiple times and seems to disobey all Police orders when they dont suit him. He really is a hypocritical mess of a Policeman.

I'm starting to wonder about that myself. The way Elly's behaving seems a little extreme over something like a student acting out and giving her a bit of lip. Maybe it is some kind of undiagnosed medical problem.

Well she doesn't seem to have a problem with anyone else, just Piper. But that's part of being a teacher, dealing with stroppy teenagers. Elly shouldn't be in the job if she can't handle it, makes me wonder if she's had issues with other students at schools where she's taught.

I grew up on a council estate in the north east where you could walk in to any of your friends houses and doors weren't locked. We'd all be out playing during the day and could go into any house as a group for a snack or a toilet break. I still have all the kids I grew up with as Facebook friends and we all ask after each other's parents. The sense of community was lovely and we were brought up by the whole street. You didn't backchat anyone's mam otherwise you'd be in trouble. Things have changed and not for the better. I have friends in social housing who have drunks, junkies and prostitutes as neighbours and their doors are securely locked. I live in a small estate of privately owned homes and everyone knows everyone's business without the community spirit or friendliness of my childhood. Give me Erinsborough and their open door policy over this any day. Whatever happened to the casseroles though? When someone was ill or there was a crisis someone wandered in with a casserole. There was even a board game of Neighbours at one point where you won casseroles while going round the board.
