You make a compelling arguement, KK, and I do agree with you. But, I just feel that Jack should have known that his behaviour could be open to misinterpretation. Amy even said that to him and Paige. Everyone found him spending so much time with Paige outside of bible lessons to be odd. He knew why he was behaviouring like he was, so should have anticipated that Paige may read into it more than what he intended. He's not stupid, he would have known Paige was still in love with him, even if she was trying to transition it into a friendship or whatever, those feelings would still be there.

He wasn't just walking her home after bible lessons, he was turning up after her shifts at Harold's and randomly offering to walk with her; she even pointed out that he would be going out of his way, but he insisted. From Paige's POV this continual behaviour would seem like he was wanting more than what he had previously said, like he was wavering. Also, Paige had no reason to believe she was the target, no-one outside of #30 felt threatened by the Snake Stalker; the neighbourhood wasn't being targeted, just Sonya by Clive West over the bike lanes (that's what they all thought). So Jack's behaviour did seem odd.

Really, they should both stay away from each other and give up trying to make anything happen, friendship or otherwise.

Meanwhile, Elly continues to be unlikeable, now basically blackmailing Terese. Why didn't Terese react more to that? I really feel they have lost their way with her character, who seem to just react to plot points instead of like a believable character. Old Terese would not have dismissed Piper's concerns so easily like that after Elly basically blackmailed her. So glad Lauren believed Piper. I really like Lauren's relationship with Piper and Ned.

I would like Elly more if she had some charm or charisma, but the character has nothing and isn't compelling like past bitch characters, like Izzy, Nicola, or even Hillary Robinson.

I'm hoping they let Paige and Tyler have a real go at things, both at the same page and all that. They're the best suited out of all options.

Jack should've known Paige would get her hopes up with him, he didn't just walk her home and check on her all the time, he acted jealous, got into fights with Tyler and interfered with her boxing. Most of that was not for protection and is sending mixed messages.

I know if a teacher called my daughter a skank I'd be angry, Whether Elly was feeling ill or not she still shouldn't have taken it out on one of her students. Terese and Brad just seemed to take Elly's word over Piper's and didn't seem terribly bothered that it might be true.

Therese and Brad were horrible with Piper. The 10% difference in her grade and Ellie calling her a skank! And Therese knew she was being blackmailed and folded like a leaf.

The problem is Piper was the one who was being nasty to Elly for a long time. Her overall behaviour has been out of character. With no witnesses to Elly's remark and other stuff, You could understand why her parents may feel she is overreacting. And like they said she is hardly Imogen, so really her being marked down would not be a shock. I still think it is bad they do not believe her. Guess Terese is focusing on the camera scandal and Brad is worried about his wedding etc.

We all know Elly will be exposed soon and her and Pipes will be best of buds in a few months.

I don't like Elly but regarding the skank comment, she was clearly feeling unwell and Piper still continued to go at her like a dog with a bone. Elly wasn't registering what she was saying, she just wanted Piper to eff off and leave her be. Not right, but not entirely her fault.

Absolutely. Elly has been completely unprofessional from the start but a teacher calling a pupil a shank is totally unacceptable. She should be disciplined for it no question.

Youve hit the nail on the head here. Elly just doesnt ever act like the adult, she more acts like a bitchy sibling towards Piper. Elly should keep her work life and private feelings towards Piper separate.

Piper isn't responsible for Elly's continued bad treatment of her. Elly acts more ike a teenager herself not a woman who should be setting a good example for her students.

I think Elly will be revealed to have some illness, soon she will be having more headaches and migraines. That will redeem her to the village after Piper exposes her.

What's the betting Elly will be made to look a bitch by one of Piper's famous vlogs, will collapse then will be diagnosed and miraculously cured by Dr Karl expert in everything medical? Piper will apologise, have a tech ban and everyone will suddenly love Elly even Steph who ought to know better as she's far from daft and doesn't like Elly at all.

I hope that the scriptwriters dont make Piper be the one in the wrong here, she seems to be permanently blamed for most goings on around the street and it would be nice for the writers to give Piper a break. I really hope that they dont go down the route of poor Elly and everyone instantly forgiving her and being best friends with her. But knowing Neighbours it is inevitable that she will be forgiven and all will be forgotten.

Elly is being a bitch but I don't know why everyone thinks the 10% mark difference is an issue. Surely the pupils are marked on their individual input into the project and the individual report they submit regarding it. It could be easily cleared up by Elly showing Brad that other groups received differing marks too, and her marking criteria but no, let's not make things practical and sensible in Neighbours. She is being a bitch though, I don't like her or agree with her behaviour. She acts more like one of the girls in the playground. She goads and taunts Piper, in front of people too and no-one says anything. I also thought the way she acted with Xanthe back when she was tutoring her was inappropriate, she was acting more like a big sister or a friend. It was both cringy and inappropriate.

The Jack and Paige stuff is so repetitive. Paige and Tyler are well suited and seem to have little drama, they should definitely be put together, they look good together too. I like Tyler again now he's away from Piper.

I like the fact that there's a bit more of a group of 20-somethings to hang around with each other now. Tyler and Aaron were hanging around with the teens far too much at one point, it just didn't make sense why they would do that. They should develop the friendship group amongst Paige/Elly/Ned/Aaron/Tyler, even if Elly stays bitchy because she can be the antagonist in the group.

Elly was definitely in the wrong calling Piper a 'skank' - Piper was trying to make amends. Unfortunately for Piper, she's currently being judged on her previous bratty behaviour (the school formal and the school fire being what she is currently associated with) and the one time she was trying to redeem herself, she fell foul of Elly's nasty mood.

Agree with those who say Elly should have handled the situation more professionally (how hard would it have been to explain how ill she was feeling?) and that Elly could do with acting her age and professional standing more than she does.

I felt for Jack - what a difficult position to be in. And Mark bugging the confessional - how he loves to play everything by the books and to the letter - until it suits him to do otherwise. Steph's too good for him.

I think Mark should lose his job over the stunt he pulled in the confessional. His holier than thou attitude, 'do it my way or hit the highway' way of thinking is reaching new highs.
I'm also tired of Steph having some dangerous baddie stalking her all the time.

I'm glad they've managed to keep Sonya and Toadie together, I like them and would hate it if they were separated.

I actually agree with SpiiderMan83 on this re Brad and Terese's doubts.

We, the viewer, saw the altercation so know that Elly was in the wrong, and indeed that she has been provoking Piper for weeks.

But, the trouble is Piper was instantly antagonistic towards Elly because of her flirting with Tyler and did make uNjustified (at that stage) accusations on her vlog and, if you recall, called her a skank in front of everybody when forced to apologize.

So, I can understand why they might consider that this complaint against Elly is just another way for Piper to get at a woman she has made it clear she doesn't like and resents being in a position of authority.

Brad also has the additional complication of having to be seen to be impartial and not giving his children special consideration at School. In this situation, he is not just a parent, but a member of the teaching staff so is required to show loyalty to them and generally, the assumption would be made that it is the teacher, the adult who has had training will be the one telling the truth rather than the child, especially a child that has a proven history of attacking the particular teacher, both physically (throwing the drink at her), verbally (insulting her when forced to apologize and in class) and online (her vlog the day after the dance).

Brad is in an impossible position really - such issues are the reasons my Mother turned down a job she was offered at the School i was due to start at the following year - she was insistent that she would never teach at a School either myself or my brother were a pupil at as it makes it so difficult for both the Teacher/Parent re conflict of interests, or suspicion of that and the child re bullying or again, being accused of getting preferential treatment.

So, Terese should be the parent dealing with it, fighting her daughters corner but again, i can see why she has doubts (Piper is rather like Matilda in this) plus Elly has found her weak spot with the cameras and losing Lassiters.

I also agree with another poster about the marking. If that project is on the syllabus, there will be instructions as to the marking criteria, specifically whether it is on the individuals contribution or the end, or the end result as a collaborative project. Just check that and also whether there was a difference in the marks between students in other groups.

I'm not defending Elly by the way, I think it is quite clear that I think she's a horrible person and a Teacher should never behave as she does, no matter how provoked.

But, i can understand why Brad and Terese, and everybody else, haven't immediately taken Piper's side over it.
