I think I did something stupid and pushed TV screen/panel in too much

As the title says... I noticed that after wiping/cleaning the TV screen, this happened which makes me think I applied too much pressure on the screen by mistake
It looks weird, looking at the TV straight on I cant see anything wrong but if I look very closely it looks like there's a very small gap in the corner and the shadow of the screen looks as if it is covering the end of the bazel.
Sometimes I keep thinking the end of the screen is slightly bent/curved
I'm wondering if Panasonic could fix it by hopefully taking the bazel off and moving everything back into place

Assuming you've actually damaged the LCD panel, the solution would be to replace the entire panel, you don't take them to pieces.

Oh dear, that doesnt sound good
I hope the panel isnt damaged

What does the TV picture look like, especially in the area you think has been damaged? Usually if you damage a LCD panel there are visible artefacts. If it all looks OK then monitor it for a while and if nothing changes just forget about it.

Probably only worth doing anything if there is a serious noticeable distortion of the image.

On the right hand side (where I think its damaged) it looks a tiny bit warped for some reason, as if there's more of a tiny 'black bar' down that edge of the screen. Apart from that it doesnt look too bad at all (as far as I can see), which is why I keep wondering if I'm paranoid or viewing it from the wrong angle The bottom right edge of the screen almost looked bent when I was watching MOTD last night
If its not actually damaged, fair enough but I want to be certain about it, so popped Panasonic an email

Actually I just noticed something else, whenever I slightly turn the TV round, it seems to affect the Freeview signal (in the tuner)

You're the same guy that was going on for ages about getting the TV calibrated... right? That was a he'll of a saga. Looks now like a new one is beginning

What on earth were you doing pushing on the screen so hard that you think you dislodged something; I mean how is that even possible?

I was cleaning the screen and had read about a "fix" to get rid of backlight bleed/banding or whatever (rubbing/pressing affected areas).
Looks like I'll have to make a note of all the calibrated settings.

If you can't see a problem when watching TV then ignore it, if you can and it bothers you then you may well have broken it.

Either ignore it or take it to the tip.

The panel doesnt look broken to me, just very slightly pushed in on the right corner, so I emailed Panasonic and see if they get back to me.

Where did you read that? Sounds like a site we need to avoid.

As I posted above. If the image on the screen does not look distorted in any way or there is not a big blob of solid colour in the area you pressed on then it is unlikely you have broken anything serious. I've seen the results of people poking fingers into LCD screens and the results are often very obvious.

So if everything looks normal then just forget about it.

Thanks, that sounds reassuring I dont think the image looks distorted and the colours look fine.
So if it can be fixed - great (as it doesnt seem that serious I think this could be possible). If not, its a shame but could have been worse.

To be fair to that site the poster did say.

The amount of pressure required to achieve the desired results is negligible.

Not enough to damage anything, so you can hardly blame them.

I dont blame the forum poster It was my fault for pressing too hard at first but now I worked out how to do it gently.

Anyway I hope things will work out and the thing can be fixed.

If the picture looks fine then just leave it, there's nothing to fix.

I've had another look and thought perhaps it isnt the panel itself, perhaps the bezel is a wee bit loose? Picture looks fine though

Someone may be coming to look at it soon hopefully

When I was watching TV last night the picture looked "bent" outwards in a small part of the screen at times, and made me think my eyes were weird
