Exactly! And how come if you pluck one or two hairs, they grow back thicker and darker, even though plucking is more or less the same as threading and waxing? It's all just whipping out hairs from the root after all.
Or do hairs also grow backer thicker and darker after threading and waxing? I haven't tried those, but I did pluck a couple of random hairs off my face and now I have to use hair-removal cream on them (I'm afraid to do any more plucking!) regularly ![]()

I use a battery operated epilator...it's brilliant. So quick and virtually no pain and certainly no redness.
I got mine off Amazon years ago for about a tenner but I'm pretty certain they still sell them. Mine's called Emjoi. |

I just want to know why as you get older your pubic hair migrates to your chin
![]() There are different kinds of wax product out there. You could ask the beautician if she uses cream wax as this is much kinder. I do mine myself but would only recommend it if you have nerves of steel! You can buy the wax machines and the wax at beauty wholesale places or on line if you dare. I really have found that the hair does not seem to grow back so quickly or so thickly when you wax. |

older lady ...fewer female hormones circulating, more male ones = more bloody appearance issues to deal with! More hair on your chin, less on your head, sagging elsewhere etc etc But hey girls...we do what we can, eh? |

I bought this thing from Amazon. It's a tight spring with a handle on each end and you put it on your chin in an upside down "u"- shape and turn the handles to rotate along your face. It rips all the hairs out and the thicker ones that it misses can easily be tweezered out. It is brilliant and I use it on my top lip too but it makes my eyes water!

What's it called, please? I use an epilator (I call it my dilapidator) on my chin but, as a previous post said, the older you get the worse it gets. I have to use it every three days and sometimes I forget! Out on a date the other night and happened to feel my chin!

Curious coming to this forum. Some suggestions. My friend tried laser hair removal, but it is expensive. One of my Asian colleague used the 'threading' method. She tried it on a few of us whilst we were at work! It was on our arms. Very quick! The more you do it, less pain and less hair. It is getting popular here. I have tried it when I was in the Far East.
