Kevin and Tim Corrie

I find their friendship more realistic than Steve and Lloyd's

I think it's great

Its a shame Tim never got to do his areoplane on him

Great little bromance. They're all quite the modern family, aren't they? The Websters, Metcalfs and Windass lot.

I think it's great they've found a way to keep Kevin and Sally on screen together without them actually being together, because there is literally no way they can keep going over that same old storyline time and time again.

Love it. I used to not really care for Kevin, but Tim makes everything better.

Totally agree

True, but he's been unimpressed with Sally since Christmas. I much prefer it when they're on better terms. At least there's a wedding next week... they always get on well at weddings!

Sometimes Tim annoys me. He's rather childish at times.

Another big Tim fan here. One of the few good decisions made in recent times was to make Tim and Kev mates rather than going down the stereotypical route of having them mortal enemies.

Tim is a great charactef hope he is around long term,

Tim is always better when Sally is not around, he would work way better as a character if he was not paired with Sally.

I love Tim, and I quite enjoy his friendship with Kevin, but is a friendship between current husband and ex-husband really realistic?

That's my view too. Tim is great, but I prefer to see him with Kevin, Steve, or even the dreaded Sophie or Faye.

His childishness is part of his charm it's the 'men behaving badly' vibe.

I found Tim a bit dull at first, but I think it's his understated presence that has actually won me over - He's a drifter in the tradition of Jack Duckworth, but unlike Jack, God rest him, he's basically honest and more of a gentle soul unburdened by ambition than a layabout.
Those scenes of the immature wallybrains in the factory joking about Tim and Kevin being gay were excruciating though. Where is Carla telling them to belt up and get back to work when you actually need her?

I love Tim.

By far one of the best characters on Corrie and perhaps the most genuine.

I do think they need to calm Sally down a bit though. The Hyacinth Bucket thing has got way out of hand.

Love Tim, he's one of the best things about Corrie. As someone else pointed out, he makes everyone better and every scene watchable. I'm glad he's starting to put his foot down with Sally. I loved last week when he refused to pick her up from the station. 😁

Tim is a Corrie gem with last night's episodes finally proving that to me.

I always felt that he was too awkwardly forced into the Stan Ogden/Jack Duckworth mould as the work shy window cleaner. My main problem was that I questioned how relevant that characterisation was in 2015/2016. In the days when he was bumbling around the Street with a ladder and a bucket, repeatedly cleaning everyone's windows about six times a week it felt like the character was too much of a cliche to be, but I quite like that Sally has made him pull his socks up and sorted him out with a van and 'proper' gear and seem more relevant.

Yes I like the fact he can now get the better of Sally by putting his foot down & refusing to budge!! Hopefully in time it will improve Sally as a character too!!

I have found the comedy of Corrie awful lately but the whole winding up Sally about these two having a bromance really made me laugh. I like to see anyone wind up Sally anyway.

If fed through a female brain - no. Because they see ex-husbands and husbands as rivals

But in reality

It is...

BIB - No, they don't. It's more because it would be uncomfortable for most people to be friends with the person who is married to the person you once loved and were intimate with, or with the person who was once married to the person you now love and are intimate with. I'm not suggesting they need to be enemies, but hanging out together as best friends I would say would be quite unusual in real life.

I was actually disappointed that the bit with Tim feeding Kevin lasagne didn't go further. Instead of stopping with them playing 'aeroplane' (or whatever its technical name is) I would have found it far funnier for Sally to stumble upon them while the whole of Tim's fork was in Kevin's mouth. They cut it too short for me.

This. I can see ex-partner and current partner getting along, being civil, maybe sharing a joke every now and again, but a full on friendship where they seek each other out so socialize with..that seems a little bit unlikely for *most* people. You'd have to be the most secure person in the world to be able to ignore all the intimacy and history this person shared with your current romantic partner through a 20 yr marriage! And its pretty insulting to suggest that only women feel this way.
