Soaps - lack of good cliffhangers?
Check out this 8 minute clip of brilliant soap cliffhangers (and how they were resolved)
Corrie, EE, Emmerdale, and even present day Neighbours and H&A are all guilty of letting this slip. these silly moments make us want to tune in to the next episode and are a way of breaking up the current storylines. Whats been your favourite cliffhanger from soaps over the years? And whats your favourite one from this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiIq46ZB3nc |

My favourite cliff hanger was the Kat and Zoe reveal. Everyone knew it was coming, and I'm fairly certain they did the reveal on a Friday evening, dragging the damn thing out over an entire weekend before we got to see the whole thing implode.
I love a good cliff hanger, but they do drive me insane! I much prefer an onscreen surprise nowadays - it's better to keep us on our toes than to give us a good cliff hanger. |
