Its sad tonight is Ross's only episode until he returns again for his next stint. From the way it was pitched I expected a whole month of him. Instead we only have 3 episodes and 2 of them were basically filler!

I thought their reunion last time was great during the whole Sam in Jail/Chrissie Watts Murder exit episodes.

Ridiculous. As if! This is certainly a jump the shark moment. If it was Denise, Caramel, etc I would be okay, but this is just sticking a big middle finger up at Sharon's character, Grant's character and everything Sharon't been through between 2001 - 2012.

why would Grant seek comfort in Denise or Carmel? he doesn't know either of them. It perfectly feasible Grant would break down and with Sharon being the only one around in the house its also feasible he would break down to her.

She lives with Ronnie, or have I missed something.

This I agree with so we never have to see Sharon again.

The most predictable thing is that people on here would complain about it.

Letitia and Ross are fab in any scene that they share, so I'm looking forward to this.

Don't care one bit if its predictable. Sharon and Grant are one of the most famous couples to ever grace TV. They had to share one scene like this for old times sake.

Bless the killjoys all mad and upset about it though

I loved Sharon and Grant together in the 90s hence struggling to invest in Sharon and Phil's default relationship.

But I can't get too excited about this when he's only back for one episode. They have a helluva lot to pack in tonight.

Sharon always did like a piece of the Mitchell brother she wasn't married to

I agree with you about Sharon / Phil being the default relationship.

As for this it's pure fan fiction.

.
Nah

It will be a brief 3 minute scene in a 35 minute episode. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'm not really bothered. Grants back for one episode and he has another short stint and that's it for him. Sharon and Grant's 'reunion' wont last. Don't know why they're doing the Sharon and Grant thing because Sharon isn't leaving (as far as I know).

The thing is, they aren't doing anything. They will have a brief reunion scene and that's it. Sharon and Grant had to meet again so I'm not sure why the sudden 'oh how predictable' posts are being made. Although I do see half of them are just coming from Sharon haters so their opinion is irrelevant.

Sharon and Grant have always had a spark, they were each others first true loves. The writers cannot forget that never happened. One minute people on here are crying about continuity being a mess then when the writers actually acknowledge something important they are met with the comments we see in this thread. Its not as if they having an affair, tonight is his only appearance until he returns in the summer. The show cannot win.

Tonights episode is written by Sarah Phelps who knows Sharon better than any writer. She knows exactly what she is doing.

It was badly pitched. The announcement was originally back in January that Ross Kemp would be returning for ''several'' episodes. Unless Ross's extra stint in the summer was already planned back in January I'm not sure which would explain this, but I thought we would be seeing Grant from now up until the funeral.
