With Dominic Treadwell Collins finishing 2 weeks ago and Daniella Westbrook claiming Sean O'Connor doesn't start till the middle of June who will be in charge of the show at the minute Alex Lamb? All the funeral stuff and all the stuff being filmed at the minute?

Probably someone high up at the BBC. A bit like when John Yorke took over for a while in 2005.

Hope SOC brings Daniella/Sam in permanently.

The show has a strong history, which I hope he uses to his advantage. Very intrigued to see what he has coming up. He seems to be a fan of natural, human drama, which will be great if true.

Usually they have week or two handover so yeah its a bit weird.

Maybe SOC had stuff he needed to finish on The Archers and DTC was needed in Ireland for Redwater.

it is a bit odd (if true of course) the hand over between producers will generally lead to some some storylines trading water for a little bit, some changing etc, without the new producer starting, it suggests the show will trad water for a bit.

Nice
At least we can rely on her not to rewrite history and favor characters

Just goes to show that the BBC needed Dom out at any cost, before he did any more damage.

Thanks.

Don't think Lamb will be in charge of the show. It'll probably be Sharon Batten with her being the series producer.

im sure they are, but that new person is not building new long term storylines, developing new characters, or axing those who should be.

I bet it's that fake Emma Summerhayes who conned Masood a few weeks ago lol.

I wonder if it's all gone a bit Lord Of The Flies with nobody officially in charge? Alex Lamb quivering in a corner while Steve McFadden stomps around with pig's blood on his face, that sort of thing?

To be fair, Newman would be suited to 'hold the fort' for a bit. The issue came when her stint as guest producer got extended - but for a short-term basis she'd do fine in the role of ensuring it was ready for the next EP to take over

[this was in reference to a joke made on the previous page]
