They did a goodbye becky one and she was in it a shorter time plus it's nice to look at a character's best moments

All three have been great characters in their time, though I hate what Carla has become in recent years!! Certainly if Becky deserved a send off tribute, she does, as does Jason, one of my favourite characters during his 15 years on the show!! Kylie has been on a shorter time but she has certainly made as big an impact & more, than Becky on my enjoyment of the show!! |

Jason, maybe, as he hasn't had much to do despite being in the show for 15 years! Carla, however, would probably need a whole hour, she's been involved in that many storylines.
If either of thes edeserve a "goodbye" show, then so did Stella. |

Carla may have been written into many storylines, but was she any good in them, or did she just use one of her two expressions. Mouth turned up, happy. Mouth turned down, sad.
If either of thes edeserve a "goodbye" show, then so did Stella. I do agree lack of any sort of facial expression has annoyed me many times with Ali King but she acted the part with a passion that Michelle Collins just never had, thus Carla, as much as I have never liked the character, always had charisma & presence!! Throughout the whole Liam thing she was brilliant, as were the other 3 characters/actors involved & again with the Frank Foster stuff!! Putting her as an item with Peter was the start of her downfall for me & then the crazy idiocy of the Blackburn era flogging the character to death, but I will never deny the impact that she has made on the show & for that, yes she deserves a send off show imo!! Compare that with the horrendously beige passionless Stella, who was also flogged to death but as a non character and... well like I say there is no comparison!! |

Sorry mate, utterly no comparison between the two!!!!!

Compare that with the horrendously beige passionless Stella, who was also flogged to death but as a non character and... well like I say there is no comparison!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Frank Foster era was alright thanks mainly to the supporting cast (Sally Dynevor, Gwen Taylor and also some good material for Samia Ghadie early on) but it became so complicated and convoluted that I lost interest. When Frank was found dead in the factory and it turned into a 'whodunnit' I lost all interest. Carla never quite recovered from the sheer madness that period. Frank should have been convicted of rape (not murdererd) and Carla should have been 'rested' for an extended period. Her relationship with Peter was, as you say ndd, the final straw. Seemingly small things like having her move from her stylish and spacious apartment to Peter's poky flat over the bookies really started to chip away at the character. She has made a huge impact on Corrie and has served well as the show's leading lady for nearly a decade. Sadly she has neither the star quality of Corrie's legendary women (Pat Phoenix, Julie Goodyear) or the depth and skill of contemporary actresses like Suranne Jones or Katherine Kelly. |

When Michelle Keegan left she got an hour long farewell. Tina was a pain in the ars3. But she was Corrie's poster girl!

Carla will probably get one, but I wouldn't be bothered if she doesn't, because I'm not keen on the character, and she seems really overrated. I reckon a lot of characters are better than her. What is all the hype with her?
![]() I like Jason but since he doesn't seem to do much I don't know if he'll get one I'm backing Kylie to get one cos she's my fav character and I also think she deserves one. Not sure how popular she is though, I guess it might come down to the popularity of the characters? |

I predict Kylie and David framing Jason for conspiracy to cover up the murder. Kylie admits her part in killing him, but says Jason helped cover it up, so that lets David and Sarah off. That way they go out of it. Carla will just leave in a taxi.

Honestly, had they got the police in at the time, they probably wouldn't even have been charged. |

Fair enough, I accept your comments, and I may have been a bit hard on her.
Now explain when were the 'good bits' of jason? I like him, and the way Ryan Thomas has played him, for the same reason I like Maria, because I find him a very believable character & he reminds me of many mates I've had over the years!! His lack of major storylines I guess would probably count against him getting a send off programme but to me his whole time on the show has been a 'good bit!!' Even the stuff now with his Dad's death I feel empathy, because I have come to care about the character over the years!! That to me is all I want from a character, to actually care about them, whether or not they are high octane or background characters!! For the record I think he was very good in Todd's 'coming out' s/l!! Typical macho reaction to suddenly finding out your brother's gay, but let somebody else have a go & it was a very different story!! Hope that goes some way towards explaining your question!!

![]() Again she was a character that made an impact, whatever your views on her, and again she was a character who sadly lost her way, probably with the outlandish Xin/Graeme s/l!! |

Oh I'd love to, but at the moment there's literally nothing to feel positive about.
Did you watch the crap that was churned out last night? Any episode heavy on Sean, Fiz, Izzy & Johnny Connor is up against it right from the off!!
