Is it me or is Caroline Quinten Smug?

As a voice over artist she seems to be demand but her voice comes across as annoying and a bit Smug.

Don't know why but I've never taken to her at all.
Come to think of it, she hasn't been in anything I've watched for years.

Well there was me thinking it was only me that thought this, she did a radio advert for Sharps Bedroom furniture, it grated so much I had to stop listening!

I feel exactly the same and I don't know why. I've never been able to take to her. She was on one of the antiques programmes (Antiques Road Trip?) where celebs take part and she was just so aggravating and charmless. She puts my teeth on edge.

Probably smug that she actually got paid for doing the work

Caroline Quentin had to foreclose on her agent some years ago as it turned out money for voice overs and radio ads had gone "missing".

She was reportedly owed around £400, 000

CQ is the High Priestess of smugness, I absolutely loathe both the sight and sound of her for no discernible reason...apart from the overbearing, middle class smugness.

It was the way she said 'Sharps, and youuu' the emphasis on 'you' was unbearbly smug. I think its another voice over on there now.

Never taken to her. Even in the repeats of Men Behaving Badly on GOLD - a series I enjoyed - she's still as irritating second time round. Was a time she was in everything on ITV, not so much now thankfully.

I like her (well in Jonathon creek!) But it seems she always plays the role of smug cold woman and maybe that is making her seem slugger than she really is

She used to write a column for a magazine and described her career as 'showing off for money'.
If that's not enough to put you off her.

I've thought this for years and years but did think it was just me. I really can't stand her. She's the queen of smug!

but I'd interpret that as her saying that's what actors do they are exhibitionists, attention seekers, drama queens and get paid a salary for it!

She is very smug and always plays the same condescending loud-mouth character.

Not smug, intelligent and funny. I can't believe how riled she's made some people. Now that it's been pointed out, maybe she will start getting on my nerves too.

Glad I'm not alone!

I've never liked seeing or hearing her but I don't know why.

She definitely has the 'smug factor' though.

Never been fond of her myself. Mainly as an actress, not as a person.

But one story about her that didn't sit right with me was her treatment towards Kathy Burke. Kathy said in her early days of her career, Caroline booed her off stage and shouted out "kathy burke, not funny". To which Kathy replied "well neither are you"

Whoever would have thought this.

I genuinely thought she was popular and it was just me who wasn't keen on her. It seems I was wrong.

I'm another one who can't stand her. Whenever I've seen her in interviews, I think she comes across as being very loud, overbearing and bossy. I can't stand bossy people.

OMG I have never heard that, how horrible. Ironically I have been watching "life begins" on encore and she is quite smug on that However I have previously watched "blue murder" and quite enjoyed it! Does she still act?
