HDMI UHD colour setting on Samsung 40 inch HU6900

I am able to enable/disable the HDMI colour setting on all HDMI ports apart from number 3. It is completely greyed out and unavailable. Is this normal on this TV? The port has nothing connected to the port. The port is HDCP 2.2 compatible and MHL if that has anything to do with it? Anyone have this tv or similar? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Your question makes no sense.

Have you tried connecting a device to this port to see if it allows you to control HDMI Colour?

I cannot access a setting option for 1 HDMI port on the tv but the rest work fine. I am wondering if this is normal by default. It's the HDMI UHD colour setting I am referring to.

Not as yet, I suppose it could be as simple as that. Do you own a Samsung UHD TV?

The user manual says the UHD colour settings can't be changed for the MHL compatible port.

Do you have any reason to believe the information in the manual is not correct, or have you not checked the manual?

I have just checked my on screen e-manual and I can't find where it mentions this. Do you have the same model of tv?

Check the section that is titled Supported Resolutions for UHD.

It says there is only one set of supported resolutions regardless of the colour setting for the MHL compatible HDMI port so what you are seeing sounds like normal behaviour for your model.

You can also get the manual from here: http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE55HU6900UXXU

So that's why it's greyed out? Makes sense if it cant do the deep colour resolutions
