It was beyond cringey.

I think they have toned him down a little bit

When Scott first appeared I didn't like him at all and wanted him gone, then he disappeared for a while and since he's returned I've started to really like him. It was nice to see a different, more serious side to him. He makes me laugh a lot but I can understand why some people don't like him.

I don't mind him. He's a bit silly but definitely not the worst in Hollyoaks.

I am starting to like him now they have toned him down in volume and colour. It just annoys me how gullible he his sometimes. But he brings out the fun side in JP,wonder how he will cope with JPs son.

Scott's great. He's funny and vulnerable. And MUCH better than his first few months.

Scott is like a sad, lonely little puppy that has been used to being kicked around and only wants some affection and acceptance. He is so desperate that he does very stupid things just to get some approval from those he is trying to "help". Whilst he is frequently an irritating character I feel rather sorry for him and don't actually dislike him too much any more.

They have toned him down a bit. I still don't particularly like him, but hes more bearable now than he was previously.

I had forgotten that John Paul even had a son!

he is never with him - who looks after him

I agree with this.

Still, I HATE that they put him with JP. It's the last thing I would have wanted for my once favourite character (now ruined beyond recognition).

In a practical sense we know he can look after children. He was in on Rose's "abduction" and I'm sure has looked after Hannah for Sinead if not other small children. I don't think he'd be fazed by the prospect of Matthew at all and might even revel in it.

He brings colour to my screen. Mostly orange, but hey, that's a colour, too

I agree, he's like a big kid himself.

Absolutely. Scott is hideous. I can't stand these supposedly comic characters who are just completely cringeworthy. He can't ever be funny because he is so predictable.

Moira was right for once: Nothing but fake tan and veneers. I may feel sympathy for him in the same way I would for a homeless puppy, but I don't want him on my screen and there is no way John Paul would be spending time with him.

Don't you think it very ironic that Myra disapproves of Scott because she thinks he is an embarrassing laughing stock, very loud and with no tact or taste?

He's bearable away from Sinead but I can't see him becoming a favourite of mine.

He's actually okay. I can even like the John Paul/Scott relationship as well.

Any gay character is better than Ste though.

I like Scott, he's pretty funny. I LMAO when he yelled at James to shut up cuz he was making an important phone call and he was making an appointment to get a spray tan

I also think making him a virgin was an interesting twist something you don't see everyday is a 30 year old virgin.

Also what happened with that story about his past with Diane?

I do think that is ironic and I was surprised that the comment came from Myra. More like something Nancy would say.

Still, she was right and I cannot believe John Paul would ever become Scott's partner - a friend....maybe. Nothing more.
