“It would secure both The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent until the end of 2019 at the very least.

According to the Daily Mirror, Simon is expected to see his £25 million fee over three years reduced with official confirmation of the new deal expected to be announced in the coming weeks.”

Must say i'm surprised ITV would be willing to give X Factor a green light for 3 more years - Britain's Got Talent, yes, it's still pulling in the numbers. But last year's X Factor was very tired.

£25 million over three years

What does he do to merit over £8 million per series - you can hardly call it 'work'...

lol, to be fair to Simon (who I do not like) this deal includes both BGT and XF, so it is £4m per series credited as a judge, producer and creator. These shows have made huge profits, and his pay reflects that.

He probably does a lot behind the scenes but yes it's ridiculous that he gets paid millions for it regardless of profit.
