BBC Radio 2 news just said that at least 66 Muslims have been removed from working airside because of security concerns, but still many more Muslims working at the airport.

Is that a serious question, or are we just going to put our fingers in our ears and pretend there isn't a problem again?

If it was 10 mile from landing woukd it have been starting it's descent?
A ground to air missile could have taken it down. That region is very dangerous at the moment. I wouldn't fancy flying over it. |

My fear is a bomb planted in a suitcase that is undetectable by scanners. But would be surprised. I think its possibly just engine failure or engine explosion |

Why do you find people speculating on the causes of this disaster, on a discussion forum, distasteful ?
My money's on a bomb, maybe set to go off at a certain altitude. I wouldn't rule out catastrophic mechanical failure though. It could always be one of those fascist groups, trying to smear the good name of Islam of course..... |

Putting aside your gross oversimplification, where is the relevance to Muslims working in airports?
Do I have to keep explaining every single minor point, are you that dense? |

Airports and airlines are notorious terror targets. There is a well known, ongoing, global problem with Islam and terrorism.
Thanks for making it explicit. It means I can now ignore you safe in the knowledge I wasn't wrong in my initial opinion. Quote:

Oh the irony.

A ground to air missile could have taken it down. A drunk pilot could have caused the crash. A pair of vultures getting sucked into both engines could have had catastrophic consequences. A lunatic, drunken passenger opening the emergency door may be the cause. I like this wild speculation game. Who's next

I find it very odd that there were 3 security personnel on board. Is this normal? Do lots of planes travel with them on board as part of ongoing security in airspace?

But you happily believe that extraterrestrial life may have caused a plane crash... OK then...

Do you think a mad pilot just flew it into the sea? Like the one that went into the mountains recently?
