ED- Ross and Moses
I get Ross divides opinion because of the stuff he has done in the past, especially shooting Robert. However lately he has really stepped up for Moses and is rarely in a scene without him. However Pete comes back after spending weeks in jail and has a go at Ross for dumping Moses on Emma. For a start how would he know how Ross has been with Moses lately? Also Ross is the only one out of the 3 brothers who has actually made an effort to start up this taxi firm yet apparently Finn punches Ross next week for making a joke about Petes pass on Moira. Why is Ross always made out to be the bad guy in every situation?

The only scenes I can remember with Ross are of him going out and bashing innocent people's heads in with a lump of wood. Why isn't he in prison? He is my 2nd most disliked character in Emmerdale - the 1st being Tracey, the phone prostitute.

I agree, OP. Pete is hardly a saint yet is treated like one.

He is a great character, well acted by Parr; the scenes with Moses are great. Parr himself has said that his is a" love to hate " character for the audience, and he's very popular. ED struck gold in casting him. He has looks, a funny sense of humour and panache. Parr has done well to create a character out of a thug. His character will always get the fallout from other characters in the programme.

Does Dross think his role is purely supervisory because he's leaving his kid with SmotherMother?

I disagree with you. Ross is always seen as the bad guy because he is always the bad guy. Don't get my wrong I have been a fan of the character in the past and he has been better lately but, as Oldnjaded said, he leaves looking after Moses up to Emma.
I feel bad for Finn in this situation always having to choose between two brothers who insist on antagonising one another. It's not altogether surprising that Finn chose Pete after everything that has happened but he is ordinarily on Ross's side so it was a bit of a switch. I would like to see this taxi firm work and end the feud between the brothers. If Ross must insist on blaming someone for his terrible upbringing let it be the odd couple Barton parents. The brotherly feud is boring to watch and has been done much better with other characters, time for them to move on as characters and grow up. |

He does look after Moses alot, yes Emma helps alot but its the least she can do considering she tried to kill Ross as a child and therefore missed him growing up. Also yeah I agree Ross is a badguy, its his role in the show essentially but when it comes to Moses I dont think he has done much wrong (apart from the jewellery store thing) but it was just take your son to work day I think.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I guess he is always with Moses, though he always seems to be pooping and then Ross hands him over to someone else. He's doing more for the kid than Charity is at least, I'll give him that.

Because 90% of the time he IS the bad guy in every situation. Pete is far from perfect but I have no doubt that if Moses was his son, he'd be a 100x better father than Ross is.

A couple of isolated incidents which Ross was forced into. Bet you cheer on the likes of Cain, though, who is the biggest scumbag of all Emmerdale characters. |
