Quick iPod Dock Question
Hi Guys n Girls!
![]() Can you tell me if there is anyway to play the ipod through the docks line out connection even though you have it hooked up to your pc via the firewire cable? I ask because even when i "disconnect" the ipod in Windows, the player still displays the tick logo and cant be used, not until its removed from the dock? Any help is appreaciated! Mark |

Its look like you have the 3rd Generation iPod model and I am afraid there is nothing you can do about that. The 4th Generation model allows you to use the iPod when docked and disconnected.

Pull out the firewire cable. I'm using the line out my 3rd gen iPod in a dock which is connected to the power adapter not a PC.
