Was anyone else shocked at how brutally violent the attack was on Jane? Especially the cake bit at the end, that just showed how horrific it was! :/

I know Jane wasn't shown but the fact Bobby hit her violently 3 times and the blood really shocked me! I genuinely do think he was trying to kill her. His face wasn't 'what have I done?!' he was chillingly calm and the fact he hit her more than once shows that. Bobby is severely psychologically messed up! It actually makes me wonder if he struck Lucy with the music box more than once...

Nevertheless, I'm sure a psychotic child has never been shown in a soap before so I'm excited to see where Eastenders will take this. I just hope poor Jane survives and isn't left with brain damage

Yes! I wasn't expecting the blood and for him to do it 3 times how can Jane survive that?

The height difference between them made me think of a Quentin Tarantino remake of The Borrowers!

Once, twice....three times.

We didn't see any of the violence, but I fully expect that the precious snowflakes have already been onto the OFCOM about this. I for one thought it was beautiful and character driven, and only wish we'd seen it from multiple camera actions to get some sweet slow motion replays going.

It was Jane's fault, she kept trying to get up.

I think Bob showed excellent restraint and it is therefore clear that he is a good boy really.

i knew it was coming but i still gasped. I don't think anyone is going to believe him this time, you don't accidentally hit your mother over the head 3 times

This is what happens when you continually send a child to their room in virtually every scene they're in.

There's only so much room sending a child can take.

I was expecting him to maybe lash out in anger as she made the call, maybe aiming to try and get the phone away from her and hitting her instead, or just intending to shut her up. The way he crept up behind her and almost calculated his aim as well as the fact he hit her another two times after she was already unconscious... now that just shows how psychotic he has become. Very dark scenes, but interested to see how it all plays out from here.

It makes the fact that he killed Lucy 'by accident' a complete fallacy imo!

That wasn't a sad little boy feeling upset because he's been mislead/lied to/whatever - that was proper menace and violence!

This is the first time we've seen him actually calculating his actions before carrying them out; every other time we've seen him lash out it's followed immediate anger. In this instance he actually planned what he was going to do (hence hiding the weapon beforehand) and had every intention of harming Jane. The face he then hit Jane THREE times only emphasises this point further. This was no accident or moment of anger; this was a calculated attack planned in advance. I do think that Lucy's death was an accident but tonight's attack most certainly wasn't.

I'm pretty sure the weapon hiding was so he could get it quickly and leave for school - not so he could lash out and hit Jane or whoever may have tried to stop him.

It was obvious this was the case from the get go. I remember being told on here that it was an accident and any mother would do what Jane did. The end game in terms of it being deliberate and him being a sociopath was a given. Jane has to either die from her injuries or go to prison for a very long time in terms of the perverting the course of justice / perjury / body lugging.
