My air bass is getting a real workout tonight.

Thankfully Gary's surname is Numan and not Ebo.

(Topical thread jest - Gaz Ebo)

They're not very good chameleons. You can still see them.

See, 'cos chamel...oh, you get it.

Richard Skinner seemingly got a lot of jumpers the previous Christmas.

The Goombay's relegated until later again. I'm surprised they've cut a Zoo performance ('Layla') but I'm certainly not complaining.

Does anyone know why 'Layla' was re-released at this time? It's 10th year anniversary is all I can think of.

I like how Skinner seemed to find that last link funnier the longer it went on.

This edition is pure pop and synth heaven.

Nice to see Steve before the drugs destroyed him.

Suddenly there seem to be too many videos on this weeks TOTP. Anyone agree?

this really is an excellent edition. Some cracking classics. Was a great month of music in 1982

Visage. Now this is my track of the night. Top class bit of pop.

Panama hat sellers must have been enjoying a golden period in 1982.

'Music For Chameleons' was OK but this song by Visage is excellent.

I don't remember this at all. I am surprised at how good it is.

Maybe an entertaining 80's show from Dominic Sandbrook on BBC2 at 9 as well - his 70's one was quite good.

I'd agree, they're good videos but you want to see bands in the studio really. Still pretty great so far tonight though. Shame the number 1's gonna kill the vibe a bit.

I think I must have been asleep back then. I've only heard a couple of these before, and the episode is poor for me. Each to their own though
