Kid Creole - again a good lyric coming up... "See if I was in your blood, then you wouldn't be that ugly!".
I know, I always felt so sorry for poor Annie!

This Kid Creole clip is "Jimmied" as is their only TOTP performance of "I'm A Wonderful Thing Baby".

I heard Stool Pigeon for the first time a few months ago and it instantly became my favourite Kid Creole hit. Worth listening to if you haven't heard it.

Have to admit my eyes are drawn less to Billy and more to the lady with the bow tie playing the keyboard one-handed.
That was Martha Ladly (previously of Martha and the Muffins).
Pity they didn't show the first time the Associates played TOTP. That performance saw Billy prancing around in a beige mac and beret like Frank Spencer, if Frank Spencer had been totally off his head! Billy's face is fabulous - he's got this grin that just says "We're being paid to do THIS!!!"
What a loss he was. BTW the recent reissue of Sulk is superb. It sounds like no other album, before or since.

'Stool Pigeon' is a great track. I bought the single at the time.

Shame I'm glad we got to see those wonderful backing singers though.

Must admit I liked 'Stool Pigeon' and 'I'm A Wonderful Thing' a bit more than this one.
Easily that groups best song for me.

George/CC - just leave me cold. Decent voice but, never much liked the songs.

"Young Guns" another song where the singer mentions his own name (as in "Love Action" and "The Look Of Love")

How on earth did people not get how gay George Michael was back in 1982?

Note Jon pretty much watches George all the way through that performance. Despite how it ultimately turned out between them that's a really sweet little moment captured between them, especially as the song is about their relationship.

Love the harmony on that last "danger in emotional ties".
