With the 3 additions later it's an easy 8/10 for me.

Annoys me when people automatically shorten my first name. Then I feel awkward when I ask them not do so

My name 'Ian' is difficult to shorten so haven't had that problem.

No that was their 2nd week at No.1 with 'Land of Make Believe'. BBC4 didn't show their first week as it was a DLT show. They'll be back with 'My Camera Never Lies' quite soon. Another one I liked.

There is not one song from Bucks Fizz I have disliked. As much as I love 'Making Your Mind Up' I think 'Land Of Make Believe' is a better song.I also love 'Now Those Days Are Gone' and 'Talking In Your Sleep'

When I meet new friends or colleagues then I ask them what they would prefer to be called. My name is David but everyone I work with calls me Dave so I am not bothered by that but if someone I knew didn't want their name shortened then I would respect that.I have a habit of shortening people's names

It's been done before but I didn't put my contribution in so my Top 10 Bucks Fizz would be:

1 The Land of Make Believe
2 When We Were Young
3 If You Can't Stand the Heat
4 My Camera Never Lies
5 New Beginning
6 Run For Your Life
7 London Town
8 Rules of the Game
9 I Hear Talk
10 Now Those Days Are Gone

It was meant to be a Top 5 but I got carried away!

I have a mate called David, but we lengthen his name to 'Davenport', after Harry Enfield's 'Nicey'

Nice to see 'One Of Us' making your Top 10. Slipping down the 1982 chart at the moment after peaking at No.3 over Christmas '81.

You can't shorten my first name but I get pissed off at being called Wilko by people who don't know me well.

Can't argue with any of those choices. I'd probably also have 'Winner Takes It All' as my No.1.
Abba are one of those acts that had so many great singles, you find yourself spoilt for choice.
I would add 'The Day Before You Came' and 'SOS' as big faves of mine. I was always surprised that 'Summer night City' missed the Top 3 as that was a great track. Have to confess my Abba guilty pleasures are 'Angel Eyes', I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do', 'Hasta Manana', 'Head Over Heels' and 'Happy New Year'
