Come On Eileen must have been an interesting listen on 15th July 1982. I can't stand it today due to hearing it too many times.

This for me is Summer 82. Love it!

This reminds me of the brilliant clubbing episode of 'Spaced'.

Another barechested drummer on TOTP with Dexy's, but his trousers seem so high up that he'd make Cowell envious. I hated Come On Eileen in 1982 and I hate it just as much now in 2016.

At the time I LOVED this record by Dexy's. Now... it's been far too overplayed and heard too many times. But I can't forget how much I thought it was great at the time.

A pity that three decades of overexposure has diminished this in the eyes of some.

Ahhh. Structural damage to many a dancefloor to this one in student nightclubs for years.
As everyone copies Kevin Rowland's stomping

This was the first time I ever heard 'Come On Eileen', when I was 12. At the time, it sounded really 70s-ish.

Which is pretty cool these days.

Got the subtitles on, didn't know "verge on dirty" was in there.

Come On Eileen still sounds fresh to me - I must avoid all the places where everyone else is overexposed to it!

Is Videoteque going to be shown again? I didn't record it last time.

They cut Yazoo with the amazing 'Don't Go' yet show Essex and this twaddle!

I was really into Japan and Duran Duran around this time, and my dream was that would make a record together!

They do another studio performance, but I think it's on 22nd or 29th July.

Leo is one of those chaps who looks so affable on the outside but is infact full of attitude on the inside.

Very poor song too, some kind of mid 70's reject soundalike to me.

The only human to embarrass themselves more on Big Brother than George Galloway - Leo Sayer!!! A horrible little man.

Cliff, David, Leo!

1976 this is 1982, 1982 this is 1976.

Awful song from Leo Sayer IMO. Orchard Road in 1983 is much better.

Cheers, hopefully my recorder will work this time.

There are not any good rips out there.

That was an odd choice of note there from Leo.
