Too long, ONJ. There's not enough actual song to justify this run time.

Maybe one day I'll find the appeal of Haircut 100. It's taking a while though!

Touch of Alan Partridge 'Sports Casual' about the guys' clothing.

I've never quite been able to work out what the appeal of Love Plus One is but it undoubtedly has something special about it.

If they played an Orange Juice track after this I think I'd be able to travel back in time like Christopher Reeve in Somewhere in Time.

I always thought it was "down to the lake, I fear", i.e. he fears the prospect of going to the lake.

I was just thinking that Haircut 100 were like a Postcard band dropped into a huge vat of melted cheese

It's all those broken prams and Donald Pleasance loitering around in a hooded cloak.

Golden Brown and Love Plus One were the 11th and 12th best-selling songs of the year according to my copy of the Radio 1 countdown IIRC. Probably changed when the December sales were added.

He'd seen the "Lonely Water" public information film?

If you went by Hugh Cornwell's expressions, you'd think he was about to be arrested at any given moment.
