Surely that should be the other way round? The Cougar (Mellencamp) song came out long before 'Fast Car'.

If my tv guide is accurate it looks like 2 edits for the early edition tonight.

The BBC have been known to object to TOTPs being uploaded to YouTube - but not as much as the record companies, particularly if certain editions feature music that they've digitally fingerprinted to automatically be rejected by the site.
If you are inclined to upload this particular edition, your best bet is to use Vimeo or a file sharing site. Youtube seems to have a bit of software which appears to automatically detect copyright sounds when you post videos on to it. I did a day trip to Southend last year and took a video of an old monastic site there, which I uploaded onto YT when I got home. Because the music playing in the background (very softly) was apparently copyright protected, my video did appear on my Youtube site, but the sound was muted. I was fine with this, as I really only use YT to store my videos, but it was interesting to see how, an innocuous video was "censored" for want of a better word, when most people would not have even been "properly" listening to the music - the video itself was the important thing. |

The announcer said 'Featuring a late replacement'
Did they mean an for the edition or for one of the songs in the edition. |

He looks a bit like David Soul with a short back and sides.
![]() Not dreadful. File under 'Irritatingly catchy pop'. |

Nothing screams 80s more than the thin piano-key tie - especially when it's not under the collar of a shirt..

A good trick this time round with David Christie. Keep the bass guitar miming in the dark so no-one notices how bad it is.

This is one of two 1982 songs I can't get out of my head at the moment, the other being Just What I Always Wanted by Marie Wilson.

That's obviously the better one to have in it!
