Peel seems to be wearing some sort of sticker with 127 written on it.

Zoom! We used to sing this during boring days at work years ago. Love it.

For years i thought Zoom was a Stevie Wonder song. I'm guessing Fat Larry is the drummer

Terrible waste of a nice synth sound.

This sounds like a "live vocal" version of Zoom, ie. not the same as the one on the record.

Ah, Fat Larry's Band. I think Larry was the drummer who I think had died by the time this was a hit in '82. I like the live vocals on this version.

Zoom. There haven't been many hits written about ice lollies.

I seem to recall this being used in an episode of 'Only Fools And Horses'.
I think it's the episode where he falls in love with a woman who has a son and proposes to her - but she rejects him. |

What a cracking start, Saddle Up followed by Zoom! Loving the drummer at the back, looks like he's eyeing up the singer for lunch...

Evening all!
Totally exhausted. Got home in time for TOTP to remember I'd unplugged my computer earlier today to give the living room a good hoover. Many plugs plugged back in and finally here I am in time for 'Zoom'! - I love this record and bought it at the time. Wonderfully soppy. |

I love how he can play those drums without barely moving.

Zoom. Like all American pop - black and white - at the time, this looks like a relic from 1975. No wonder the British invasion happened

This is a video that apparently Depeche Mode absolutely detest, so much so that it's never been included on any of their compilations. I quite like it.

There'll be a cuddly toy along in a minute.
(As indeed several other people anticipated )
