This has got all the attributes that the Blue Zoo track was short of.

First is a masterpiece of Sci Fi pop, a small but wonderful genre of which Numan's Replicas is of course the pinnacle.

Blue Zoo and A Flock Of Seagulls two years too late!
Also, did anyone ever get Blue Zoo and CaVa CaVa mixed-up?
No? Just me then

skipped the 4 November 1982 #TOTP, presented by Mike Smith. Here’s an explanation of why:

Oh, Kid's wearing a poppy!
I didn't realise they did those as far back as 1982.

A Flock Of Seagulls - the name was also mentioned in Pulp Fiction just before the Brit guy gets killed on the couch! I'm sure Tarantino had the name of this group in mind when he wrote that line...

Oh shame, no wonder I didn't hear it till the Grand Theft Auto sound track.
Good song from Donna Summer.

I suspect most won't have heard of them. I bought 'Where's Romeo' though.
Nice little pop song.

This is a superb Donna Summer track.
Has a bit of an all star backing too, if I remember rightly.

This is also a good one from Ms Summer. I think I've still got the 7" vinyl somewhere.

Yes we always had them at primary school and secondary school.

I'd put John Foxx's "Metamatic" at the top of that list but agree that Numan deserves a close 2nd place

as good as any of her 70s disco hits. I bought this one too. Written by Vangelis

I think 'State of Independence' will be my highlight from tonight's edition.

Thanks for that, Straker.
I like the fact the first comment is:
Paul: “This is just absolutely ridiculous and an insult to the fans.”

Class song by Donna Summer, even if it has been cut somewhat.

Great production from the mighty Quincy Jones on this Donna Summer record. She was lucky with producers and then she met Pete Waterman!

Wasn't this written by Jon & Vangelis?

Some great soul & r&b singers tonight; Dionne Warwick, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Donna Summer.
