Never Take Me Alive is a great song though!
Yep, that's a cracker.

Anyone else think the Jets singer looked like Shakin Stevens?
As someone mentioned earlier, it looked like a 'group' of Shakys.

I was just about the say the same! I have the glow in the dark 12" of Neon Lights too!
Did you used to hold it under the light with your hand over it and then switch the light off to see it glow around the shadow?

Simple pleasures.

'Trans-Europe Express is one of my faves. I always liked the German versions of their songs.
It was a mix of that record and Jean-michel Jarre when I was growing up. Was always entranced by the different sounds and how they created a melody. I still distinctly remember being about 4 when my dad introduced me to them at the record player in the old flat we used to live in.

It's like a mini futuristic cave painting.

Actually it had - the French version "Des Chiffres et Des Lettres" has been going since 1965

It was a mix of that record and Jean-michel Jarre when I was growing up.
Jarre is back to form with his two recent Electronica albums after years of sub-standard tut. From his imperial phase all anyone needs is Oxygene, Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields, Zoolook and Concerts in China live album.

Musically I'm liking OMD a bit more on another listen. His voice doesn't appeal to me though. Or his naff dancing.
I never liked OMD - and now, many years later, I utterly despise Andy McCluskey for inflicting the abonation that was Atomic Kitten on us all.

OMD forever to be associated now with Alan Partridge.
Sorry, but why?

How can so many people sway out of sync with each other.
One too many in the BBC club before the recording?

You might be thinking of the brilliant 'Tour De France' from the Autumn of '83.
Hmmm possibly!

John Peel was great. Sardonic wit
Refreshing to see Kraftwerk at No.1 too, instead of Shaky or Bucks Fizz.
Stranglers next @ the top?

A wonderful track from the equally wonderful Kraftwerk. Amazing it's from '78. A good bit ahead of it's time.
Yes - the video looks like it's from 1958 though, Nevermind 1978!!
