Jarre is back to form with his two recent Electronica albums after years of sub-standard tut. From his imperial phase all anyone needs is Oxygene, Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields, Zoolook and Concerts in China live album.

The Jets 2nd and final Top 40 hit. It feels like they had much more. Probably something to do with being featured on TOTP's 6 times with the 2 singles.
![]() And the woman on the front of the stage in the blue dress - I know she's one of "Zoo" but I can't help thinking I've seen her somewhere else. Any ideas? |

Am I the only one who noticed the chip in the fingerboard of the double bass under the 4th string?

Ha ha, yeah. The 'Trans-Europe Express' video I'm familiar with is black and white and has that really old movie feel to it.

While we're at it, there was also this rather glorious Kraftwerk pastiche in Yonderland series 2 last year... https://youtu.be/0whLAI18YA8 I've got my fingers crossed they'll do Sparks for series 3. Quote:
Could somebody warn the guitarist before his solo that his guitar isn't actually plugged in?

Hard to believe Marc was ever so fresh-faced. He looks like a reanimated corpse these days.

They are doing their best to make up for inflicting the Jets on us. Another classic.

Must be something wrong with me today, I completely forgot about the show. And the late show is on really late as well. Sod's Law.

You need this boxset:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Katalog-Sch...dp/B009XJ97PI/ Hell, EVERYBODY needs this boxset! The only Kraftwerk track I have is The Model. I'm sure I should have and would enjoy more by them though. But, I've never quite known where to start with their back catalogue. I don't think they've ever released one but they could do with putting out a 'best of' type record IMO. Quote:
A great episode. OMD, XTC, Theatre of Hate and Kraftwerk all good, and great presentation from Peel. But the obvious stand out was Soft Cell, brilliant song and excellent video. 8/10 for me. Can't wait for tomorrow, off to watch the football now.

Looks interesting, a bit pricy though!

This XTC track could easily be released now and sound contemporary.
