No. Can't see any Xmas connotations at all.

Agree with you on this Andy.
BG is a great track.

At last some positivity and with justification I might add.
'Changes' is so underrated.

I loved it , bought it and still listen to it to this day.

Surely someone else out there also can appreciate this wonderfully original piece of music? Then again... ”

I quite like it! It was certainly different to anything that was in the charts at the time.

And more positivity from Andy.
Good to hear some love for 'Changes'.
As you say, 'Changes' is not a well known Imagination track but for me it was the stand-out track from their second album.
To be honest I thought it would be slagged to bits on here.

Just catching the Pops live on BBC4.

Have to admit the version of 'Friends' featured was better than I expected.
Personally I would have opted for the sublime 'Help me' as single No.4 from the 'Friends' album.

I've always liked it, and I expect it's liked in panpipe regions like Peru and Bolivia. Decent example of that kind of music, I bet some were fooled into thinking it was musicians from Latin America.

My favourite Malcolm McLaren songs are Double Dutch and the 1984 Madame Butterfly.

The Crosby/Bowie song is ok when you get used to it.

Yazoo - 'The other side of love' sounding like a B-side.
Sorry to be negative but Yazoo have done better B-sides than TOSOL.
'State farm' and 'Winter kills' to name two.

I'm so negative. !

Shaky meriting all the abuse on here.
I'm beginning to toe the DS party line.

Not even I am going to attempt to justify that Shaky lame offering.

Just watching 'Time - clock of the heart' and I fully appreciate the indignation of certain posters not getting to hear this track 6 hours ago.

Culture Club at their very best. Love it.

Rick Dees delivered in this respect. A trip back to 1976 will prove the point.

Simply don't get the love for that Soft Cell track on here.
They will do better next year when they release 'Soul Inside'.

the Jam, as joyless as ever.

All in all a decent episode. 7.5/10. High points Blancmange, Culture Club and for comedy value Rene and Renato.

Thankfully I don't think the same way. There is plenty of brilliant music to come for at least another 8 years.

I bet you they still post on the TOTP 85 thread being set up by Rich Tea sometime in the next 6 months.

Catching Cacharpaya right now.
Sounds like a re-recording from the 45 version.

Nonetheless it still sounds good to my ears. Loved it in fact.

At least Robbie almost gave it the thumbs up.

Trying to out-zoo Zoo here.

Looking forward to 1988-89, see if there is anything from The Stone Roses on there, and to see Belinda Carlisle in her prime

Always liked Under Attack.

Used to have a friend whose attitude was just like Orville's and I once called her that. Strange how we don't talk anymore
