Never been particularly fond of A Town Called Malice. Would have preferred Golden Brown to be number one instead.

"Do you wanna cut down on beer or the kids new gear, it's a big decision in a Town Called Malice". Great lyric. Love it.

I always thought he was singing that - but apparently the official lyric is "to either cut down on beer...."

Siobahn used to be my fave but when it became clear she was bat-shit crazy I switched my allegiance to Keren.

Played It Ain't What You It's The Way That You Do It a lot as a kid. Still got the original single.

Funny thing about Bananarama is that Keren Woodward and Siobhan Fahey still look pretty much the same as they did in 1982 but Sara Dallin is almost unrecognisable (although not in a bad way).

Oh! Never knew that. Most of the on line lyrics sites are wrong then.

Yazoo. I had the same hair-do as Vince here for a while, a good few years later though.

Alison Moyet is too thin these days. Better when she was packing some timber.

So 15 year olds aren't even allowed to dance on TV now? It's the hang ups of some people on this forum that's a bit bizarre.

I can't hear this song nowadays without thinking of Dawn kissing Tim in the final episode of 'The Office'.

Vince Clarke is a genius just for coming up with this one song, Only You, regardless of anything else he did.

I doubt she'd take any crap from Jimmy Saville.
