IMO, most if not all if the English soaps are dry at the moment; therefore changes to the soap schedule including less episodes would be welcomed by me this summer

normally we get the first draft schedule on a Friday but ITV have not rleased one based on what digiguide is saying EE for w/c 27/6 is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with Monday and Thursday at 7pm that schedule misses the footie so expect it to be in schedule A and B

What's happening with EastEnders.? I know that footy is on, but they should have aired it on BBC Two or Four.

In this day and age does it really matter if soaps are moved to Bbc2 /itv 2 everybody has these channels and then everybody can watch what they want but the old arguemeant of stick football on minor channels doest wash
If your pardon the pun
Soaps will be lucky to get 6 million per episode and that's for EE /corrie but then again an England game will get double that and that's just group game If England get though then it will tripple ratings
So really can't see why soaps cat get moved on mean it's only 2 weeks for group games every 2 years that is soaps are on a night Every week Monday/Friday

It doesn't really matter what channel they are on for 2 weeks

That's rather selfish. Why should the people who watch programmes on those channels lose them? The BBC is for all kinds of programmes, not just soaps. And I'm speaking as someone who can't stand sports of any kind but I understand and accept that other people do like them.

To all moaning about why not stick footy on BBC2, BBC 4, ITV2 or Sky etc, how selfish are you?

The BBC and ITV have the rights to the tournament so will show it on their 'main' channel to get the most viewers.

Some matches have got more viewers than the soaps would have at this time of year e.g. England v Russia on Saturday got nearly 13 million viewers, plus, Germany v Ukraine on Sunday beat both ITV soaps wit 6.3 million viewers.

For week of 25th June to July 1st:

Emmerdale airs as normal from Monday to Friday (with extra episode at 8pm on Tuesday)

Coronation Street airs as normal

Casualty is (according to Digital Spy) to be shown on Wednesday 29th at 9:25pm.

No idea on dates/times for EastEnders and Holby City.

Please note this are provisional for now and won't be confirmed until next Wednesday after the Euro group stage has finished (around 10pm), with ITV having first choice on the next round of fixtures.

England games have been like a soap opera - never know what is going to happen next and full of drama/twists.

No ITV have first pick in the round of 16. BBC 1st pick in QF and then ITV again for the semis.
