No thanks
He was as wooden and gormless as Ben Hardy.

He didn't make a huge impact on me, bit of a background character. Would prefer him to Ben Hardy though as he was just hired on looks with wooden acting.

Although not used much, occasionally he was given stuff to do - and he was good. Better than Ben Hardy. If Peter was to return, I'd prefer it was Thomas Law x 1000.

i see nothing wrong with him returning as Ben Hardy will likely never return ! It would be better to have Thomas back than yet another recast. But if i remember correctly didnt Thomas leave as he was angry with the way bryan birkwood treated Mellissa?

Let face it they brought back Daniella Westbrook as Sam so anything is possible.

I'd love to see Thomas return. How big have the tabloid hints been?

Usual speculation but just struck me as maybe planted. Peter Beale is a steady Eddie character but a key one in terms of the history of the show. The character doesn't need top notch acting skills but someone who will stick it out for longer than a couple of years.

I say bring Thomas back.

He played Peter really well and really came into his own before he left. He was a much more likeable Peter than Ben in my opinion. Ben will very likely never return now so it'd make sense bringing back the actor who has experience playing the role rather than yet another recast.

No he left to pursue other roles.

and as for Melissa, there was no bad treatment. Or if there was, it was her own doing. She kept coming into work late and drunk. She was also snapped by the paps coming out of nightclubs and falling out of taxi's. Plus she wasn't even at the legal age to drink. Her situation was similar to Stephanie Davis from Hollyoaks, except Melissa wasn't fired instantly. She continued filming for a few extra months.

Thomas Law is actually in the states filming a television movie on Cinderella at the moment.

I wouldn't have a problem with it but it might look a bit strange to go from a short muscle bound posh bloke to a tall lanky less well spoken bloke. Though they went in the opposite direction with Peter already anyway.

I would like that. I didn't really like how bulky Ben Hardy was when compared to how the Thomas Law Peter was. It didn't really sit right with me that Peter was incredibly good looking out of nowhere.

In terms of acting, none of them really made any lasting impact on me. Peggy made more of an impact in 6 days than Peter made in the whole whodunnit storyline.

Thomas played Peter with a lot of empathy. Ben overplayed Peter, which is why I think the writers could have created a new character for Ben to play.

I met the actor after his performance in A Beautiful Thing. Nice lad. I wouldn't mind him returning. If the storyline was right. 🙂

Was really good. He seemed lovely as did the guy that played Kris in Hollyoaks. Also met Charlie Brooks.

What a strong cast! Have always thought those who can do theatre are probably the best actors. What was Charlie Brooks like ?

She was fantastic in the play. She was literally in the cafe bar across the street before the performance having lunch with the guy that played Kris. Didn't want to interrupt them but said a quick hi as she popped out for a cigarette. She was nice. Imagine it gets quite boring with people coming up to you but she was still chatty. Thomas Law and Gerrard McCarthy were just really nice though. Made a real effort to chat to the audience afterwards. 🙂🙂🙂
