Oh my fairy godmother!
No disrespect to Duncan, he'll probably do a decent job, but the influx of new families generally means the existing, usually relatively new, ones aren't working. Families only exist in soap land to be dashed apart. I'm wondering if this kind of thing is because the Nightingales aren't generally working as a unit (some ok individual moments though)?
Hollyoaks is rather like salmon in a river, you go there to spawn and die.
