Duncan James joins Hollyoaks

Some music stars have gone into soap and done well, others have been terrible. Hopefully he's from that first group, especially if they're bringing in a family with him.
I really hope the Donovans have been scrapped in favour of this new family.

No disrespect to Duncan, he'll probably do a decent job, but the influx of new families generally means the existing, usually relatively new, ones aren't working. Families only exist in soap land to be dashed apart. I'm wondering if this kind of thing is because the Nightingales aren't generally working as a unit (some ok individual moments though)?

I assumed maybe to replace the Roscoe family as only Joe and Freddie are left.

I thought that was what the Donovans aka Grace's brothers (I'm free!) were for. Maybe they're hedging their bets that at least one family group will be a good fit.

Forgot about them! Maybe this new family will move into the Roscoe house though - seems too big a set for just Joe and Freddie.

what happened to the new mcqueens that were coming in do you think Duncans family could be connected?
maybe they will replace the family unit that Sienna had, ben is going, patricks gone, maxines never seen and nico should hopefully be locked up

Although in terms of soaps, I had him down for either EE or ED.
I saw him in Legally Blonde with Dame Sheridan Smith several years ago. He was alright. But theatre wasn't really for him. I always thought he was more of a soap actor.

How old is DJ? If he is 'the head of the family', I assume that means he is the father. Unless he is older than I think he is, his children would be quite young, I imagine. What's the point of that? They just ignore the children that they already have.
He's a fairly decent actor, saw him in Priscilla QOTD recently and he was good in it. Plus he is quite hot.

38 so I guess could play early 40 meaning teenage children probably up to age 18.

Wonder if the new family will be headed up by a gay couple. The character Duncan James is playing and the new police guy they announced last week?
