I would say its highly unlikely any injury would be fall him, they arent doing the act for the first time!
Mamby Pamby ITV.
It's a precaution in case he dies live on tv.

There was ZERO chance that was going to happen, he is not that stupid.

Frankly, I didn't see any danger in that performance; his audition was far more 'dangerous'.

What is the point of the Sword Swallower on BGT pre-filming his act for tonight, part of the excitement of the act is the 'will he die' dynamic which will be totally lost as if he died during recording they wouldn't show it. Plus what would he do if (and that's a BIG IF) he won. Let the Queen watch on a TV brought on stage by Any and Dec. Waste of a slot, should have given it to the Foot Puppet.

Source?

Is this a fact or an opinion?
Logical thinking and common sense.

He won't win anyway as he's neither canine or a singer.
If he danced around a bit it might help him get the votes.

So if he wins the series are they going to pre record his appearance on the Royal Variety Show?

The Royal Variety show is always precoreded, and quite far in advance

It's usually recorded in November time before airing in December

Except that the dangerous acts are always fine. I'm quite glad though, found him nauseating as opposed to entertaining and taking the element of danger out of it for the semifinal (he survives or they wouldn't show it) probably lessens the appeal of his act generally.
Lol. He won me over tonight. Loved him.

I really want this guy to win this year. It would just be very refreshing to see an act like this, which goes against the tradition of talent show winners, finally win the competition.
BUT……
I very much doubt he will because of three reasons:
1) He’s on tonight with a lot of the main singing and dancing acts.
2) People don’t ring up and vote for these kind of acts, so they never do very well in the public vote.
3) I hope not to sound racist, but because he is of Moldavion descent, I think people may not support him as he is not British.
Glad lots of people did vote for him tonight. He deserved it.

Attraction won, they aren't British. Does anyone really care what nationality the acts are?

I suppose his performance in the final will have to be recorded too. Will it depend on what exactly he does? But then it's surely going to be even more dangerous isn't it?

He's got a good act but it was spoiled by being pre-recorded for me, I know it's quite a big one to set up so it was probably more for practical reasons rather than 'he might have died' but it definitely took some of the suspense out knowing he was going to be OK regardless and it didn't have the heart in the mouth suspense of his audition (Plus he's been shopped around the various Got Talent Franchises which instantly puts me off)

You do realise the audition wasn't screened live, don't you....?

Its clever what he does, but I am not sure that it is the kid of act that the Queen would be interested in tbh.

Of course, but we didn't know his act then, so to up the ante I'd have liked the unpredictability of the live show- It was still a very good act, but it just lost something in the transition to the Semi Final for me and part of that was the pre-record

Don't really understand that as a criticism. The fact that it's pre-recorded (presumably) means that what he is doing is genuinely dangerous (compared to, say, the crossbow guy). It doesn't mean he's cheated or used camera tricks, it just means you won't get to see it live if it all goes horribly wrong, you'll just hear about it on the news instead. There's plenty of other videos online that can satisfy your bloodlust, I'm sure.

But its not dangerous, at least no more so than Crossbow guy, as I said I think because itobviously it requires a lot of set up to get it right so he doesn't hurt himself, it's not feasible on a live show- Which is fine but it defeats the object of 'the live semi finals' for me. It's not a question of bloodlust but a question of suspense and yes the thrill that he might get hurt which is what the acts hings upon, take it away and he was climbing a pole- Anyway, agree to disagree

I don't either and see the criticism as moaning for the sake of moaning.

My understanding is that it was being suggested that the appearance on the royal variety show would be recorded and shown on a screen rather than on the stage in front of the audience.

Hmm.... I wouldn't mind hearing Cowell's statement on that.

Thank goodness it is pre-recorded anyway. Who, in their right mind, would want a serious accident broadcast live?
Well we have to watch the accident that is D Walliams. I'd happily watch him swallow anything deadly.
