Simon on Dermot

On Dermot:

Quote:
“He said: "He came out to see me in Los Angeles. He may have thought it was going to be an awkward meeting but it was one of the easiest I've have ever had. I think there was probably a misunderstanding.

"I thought he wanted to go and he probably thought I wanted him to leave. Neither of us, being stubborn, spoke to each other and then we realised that we miss him. So I told him that and it was a really fun hour or two we spent together."”

On the new series:

Quote:
“We have done most of the groundwork now and have made some fun changes to X Factor which you will see this year.

"I think it will improve the show. It is going to feel very different from last year. But it will remind you of the things you used to love in previous years."”

So they are making some changes, but it will also remind us of previous years.

Whatever happens, it's got to be better than last year

I thought that at first but it just didn't work and the ratings just prove it

Well, there won't be any Rugby World Cup messing up the schedule this year.

Still, I shall reserve judgement. The whole judging panel circus already has put me off the new series. You know a show is going to be rubbish when it's all about the judges, and very little about the contestants.

Really - he's been promising these big changes since he returned three years ago now, and it's still the same.

It's still pretty sad on both Simon and Dermot's side that Dermot is back. They both could not sink any lower. Embarassing all round.

The only good thing to happen so far is finally getting rid of Tweedy.
