Am I the only one who thought that was completely talentless? Can't see what he did that the judges were raving about

I know it went a bit wrong, but we don't know if the last arrow would have been aimed at his body, so totally pointless
I thought he would have fired the last bow

I think his magic trick act went wrong in two places and so he could not perform the rest of the act including the reveal of him not being killed due to two of the crossbows accidently going off.

One of the bows seemed to bounce off just by the side of his body.

It was very anti climactic...

I saw hat and wondered if that one was meant for the bottom right pad but mis-fired and missed.

I assume of the five bows, it was meant to be one in each corner pad and the fifth fired as the climax after he was released aimed where his head was.

The act on the night was a bit of a disaster because it went wrong so he couldn't fire the last arrow at the end, so it all just ended abruptly and was a bit anti-climatic. The crowd was literally silent when the act finished.

Didn't all five shoot? Two at the beginning, then one, then two at the end.

Yes that is correct. 2 came out at the start. He could still have done 3 and the big finish...but then 2 came out again so he had ran out and that was the end of it. I'm sure he will be very unhappy with whoever set the machine up but then would there have been any talent involved if it had worked?

Even the audience were waiting for something exciting. It just went quiet - talk about an anti climax!

Yes, I think the talent is in coming up with the idea, the contraption, and the showmanship. I guess the machine was completely wrong, since the oops arrows didn't seem right either. The last one hit under his right arm, I wasn't paying much attention to the first oops arrow, where did that hit? I think someone said in the live thread, could have been dangerous if it hit his eye.

The first wrong one hit the pad but did not stick in. I suppose it didn't come out with any power as it wasn't supposed to be coming out.

I couldn't even work out what act was, other than setting up hours in advance and testing everything so he wouldn't get hit. As David said it was more interesting when Simon might have got murdered in front of thousands of spectators. Obviously it went wrong, was a total damp squib.

That was totally messed up. I guess he was meant to walk away, then pull the last lever to show one would have gone off right at him. But even if that was the case Alisha would have been told in advance which ones to pull, it was not a random member of the audience. Also the one that went off wrong and was aimed near to his body didn't even hit his body and just bounced off the wall beside him.

Although I was confused by it all, I did feel for him as he was so obviously gutted.

Rather pointless tbh.

Whatever the planned outcome, it is obvious that he would never be hit.

His audition was well executed but basically it was a fail-safe act. No one was ever going to be in mortal danger.

He was on AGT in 2012 and made the final with the same act when he used Cowell .

Didnt it all go wrong from the outset when he fired at the balloons? I think all 3 were supposed to float up

I wasn't really watching the act at all. I was staring at him as he was blummin gorgeous.

I think it was supposed to finish with Alisha pulling 4 of the arrows 'at random' and then when it was done he would move out the way, fire the last arrow which would have hit him in the body if he was still attached to the target. However, the arrows fired wrongly and the whole act was a damp squib.

I saw Ben when he was in The Illusionists at Shaftesbury Theatre. He did the act he did in his audition, and was very good. So I was disappointed for him that last night went belly up.

I think so. He made a comment at the time about the main bit hopefully going better than that bit had done.

Yeeessss...thank you very much indeed to the people who work behind the scenes at setting up the routines for totally ballsing up another true variety act and paving the way for 3 more singers to make a clean sweep of the top three in the semi-final table!!

I don't think she would have been told what ones to pull, it would have been set up to fire in a particular order no matter which levers she pulled.
