High praise indeed

I caught up with it yesterday. I thought it was outstanding.

Ross Kemp, Dame Barbara and Steve McFadden were fabulous.

I loved it. Very emotive and very varied. Felt like classic EastEnders.

Put it this way - it's the first time I've felt compelled to watch every episode in a long time.

The best week in what feels like forever!!

Dame Babs did amazingly well, and I am gutted that Peggy is no more! But the scenes with Pat although sad as you knew what was coming added a small bit of comedy and nostalgia which was brilliant.

Steve McFadden was simply incredible, that scene as he read the letter from Peggy with Peggy's voice and theme playing over the top of it was heartbreaking

Was great to see Peggy interacting with so many of the cast, even if it was a simple hello or look.

All in all, that is exactly how EE should be!!!!

Not usually an avid watcher or fan and only watch for the "Big" or most hyped storylines. I watched all last week and enjoyed it and will be tuning in tonight.

As I am not an average Eastenders watcher (can't remember last time I watched) I admit I only watched because of Peggy's death and Grant's return. I have to admit, I enjoyed every episode. First time I have ever felt compelled to watch Eastenders

Agree with everything you say. We have come home from holiday and I am catching up on my recorded soaps and enjoying every flipping minute of EastEnders. Steve McFadden deserves an Oscar for the work he has done of late. We saw him in a Panto in St. Albans and he was brilliant in that, as was Jake last year. Just shows that these actors can turn their hands to anything and be successful. I watched Jessie Wallace take the part of Pat Phoenix in the Story of Coronation Street, and she was perfect, how on earth she managed the Mancunian accent and not slipped back into the Eastend one was amazing. I am a great fan of hers. Well done EE, and I look forward to this week and the dreadful child admitting his guilt. At last. Excitement hits the Square.
