LOL. I agree in a way but he does show his manly side, playing footie with his mates.

I know what you mean, half way through that video I was half expecting a shot of her breastfeeding him.

Reminds me of a sketch in The Kevin Bishop Show:

Young Man (Kevin Bishop) takes a girl back to his house and end up naked in bed with her.
The young Man being a bit nervous is having trouble putting a condom on. After a few minutes and still no success:-

Girl - "Let me put it on for you"
Young Man - "No, It's all right"
Girl - "give us it here"
Young Man - No it's ok, I'll sort it (Young Man shouts)...."MUUUM".........."MUUUUUM"

I can see how it makes people emotional etc and the bond that they have, but as much as I've tried not to, I can't help but find it a bit weird. Especially when they sung 'Say Something' in their first audition.

The trouble is that they may be close now, but in just a couple of years when he starts going out and doing all the sexual things that young men do, the separation will be a massive one.

For goodness sake, they are just singing together! They only started a few weeks ago because he was too nervous to come on on his own.

Agreed. Them holding hands, while looking into each others eyes looked creepy, rather than anything else.

It was a rubbish lot of auditions last night, but I didn't expect that trash to make it into the final.

In which case, they should have taken a year to polish the "act". In that time he may also have grown a pair.

Did she say, after the usual sobbing and so on, that she had waited 25 years for this. Didn't make sense given that her son is only 15. Is she a frustrated wannabbe of some sort.

Its definitely her dream, I noticed he looked a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Personally I actually prefer his voice to hers, I also much preferred their first audition vocally and was disappointed that Mel dwarfed him in the lives.

I don't know where but I read somewhere that she was there because he was supposed to be playing guitar too but he broke his arm?

I want them to do well, however their closeness is sweet but verging on icky, the hand holding and the deep looks - the looks of love I get but it's almost a look of longing.

Still nice voices though!

Before their audition he said he was going to audition on his own but was too nervous so asked his mum to sing with him. So it was odd that she said BIB.

I agree. I feel sorry for him the amount of stick he is going to get at school.

They make a story out of the family connection just to add to the show.

They're just a parent and child singing together. Someone above mentioning the hand holding, really? It's weird for family members to hold hands during an emotional moment? If you think there's something weird about them performing together I think that says more about you than them.

There was nothing wrong with the hand holding during the performance, but I think most lads his age would be embarrassed to let their mums hug and kiss them in public, much less hold their hand. He is clearly very close to his mum.

I was very close to my youngest son until he got to 15/16 years old. We did everything together and as his dad wasn't interested in sport, I was the one that took him to watch (and play) football, basketball etc. Then he suddenly decided he would rather be with his mates, part of growing up of course but I did find it hard. I might add my husband is Italian so my kids grew up thinking nothing of kissing and showing affection in public (and still are comfortable with it).

Very creepy the way they look into each other's eyes singing love songs.

I bet people wouldn't react this way if it was a mother and daughter singing together.

Actually I admire him for clearing not caring about that kind of thing or being cool etc.

Agree with this. Some very nasty comments on here.
