Now that Steven Beale is coming back it would be perfect to have Cindy Jr alongside him, they can be the next generation of Beale's now that Bobby is (hopefully) going.

Didn't the actress jack it in rather than be ousted?

Dear God, no.

I'd like her to return but it seems a bit soon after her sudden unannounced shock exit last year. Also I'm surprised that after she left, the Beales forgot all about Beth. They could've got her back from Terry and Bianca after Cindy left, since they had been desperate for her to stay with them earlier.

I don't think it was said if Mimi left to her own accord but I liked her has Cindy.

But she isn't a Beale anyway......I know Steven isn't a biological one either....so neither can be a new generation of Beales ?

I would like to See Cindy again .

I hope so. The circumstances surrounding her departure were really strange. It was never confirmed whether she chose to leave, and the actress made no reference to Eastenders or her exit whatsoever on Twitter.

Bex, Lou, and Cindy could be the new Whitney, MyLauren, and Lucy.

No, just no...

We don't need any chavs like her on the show...

I thought the actress was quite inconsistent. She had the odd decent performance but a lot of the time I couldn't work out how Cindy was meant to be feeling as all we got was surly teenager. Maybe she could come back with a new head but I don't really see the need.

She was just terrible when she was asked to be all dramatic over the Beth stuff. Mind you she's not the only young actor to not be able to pull off the dramatics. Just look at Ben and Abi recently. Some of the old timers aren't a lot better! EE really do need to be careful what they ask the actors to do. Some characters like Phil / Denise / Shirley for example can be given pretty naff scripts on paper but can pull in off

I assumed her leave was temporary. Why did the actress leave? I'd like to see her back, especially when Bobby (*ahem* Damien *ahem*) is exposed.

I stopped praying years ago but i have started back up again so JB can have his happiness. I am kind and generous that way.

But i agree. Her acting was inconsistent. She was atrocious over the whole giving up Beth storyline. There was a lot of love for her on live week. yet she had the least to do and her only spotlight moment was when she read Lucy's letter. But i believe with more training and experience, she could really be something special in the near future.

I thought she was fantastic, so full of potential. Watching the embarrassing shitshow of Louise, Bex and Shakil yesterday, it made me realise just what a brilliant find she was: someone who looked like a teenager and was able to depict being a teenager, not a caricature of one. The episode where she gave birth to Beth was one of the standouts of 2015, IMO.

If SOC gets her and MyLauren back, he might well be the greatest producer ever to have lived.

Thanks.

Lauren is back next week, which is still very much under DTC's reign.

I always got the impression DTC didn't like the character too much. I've always thought it was a shame that Newman - who doesn't get enough credit, built the Beale's back up only for DTC to then rip them completely apart.

I don't know, he gave her a big storyline with the Beth thing, including the episode where she gave birth which really gave her a chance to shine. I remember a lot of praise for it at the time from the cast and crew on Twitter (though I can't remember if DTC was part of that.) She also got a decent role in live week during the big reveal. It seems to me that he did rate her, but maybe got annoyed that she decided to leave after investing in her, which would explain his Twitter silence, and possibly hers if she left on bad terms with him.

Yeah but didn't the pregnancy storyline start under Newman also?

After Lucy's death she was off screen for six months before then returning for six months to only then leave.

Only Lola had less screen time.

Probably not they have Louise now for the lead teen stories

BIB: Did it? I only started watching again when DTC joined and I thought I remembered the pregnancy story starting then, with the whole issue of the pregnancy test being found and there being a mystery about who it belonged to. To be fair that was very early on, so maybe Cindy had slept with TJ during the end of Newman's stint, I can't remember.

I'd imagine that the reason she wasn't on the show as much as other characters was due to her age; as she was under 18 she legally wasn't allowed to do as many hours as other actors. I know that doesn't explain why she was off screen for six months, that could have been for personal reasons or studying for her GCSEs maybe.

He did more than that...he got rid of most of them....Lucy, Cindy, Lola, Nancy (yes I know it was her choice). Whitney was reduced to a bit player, in fact I'm amazed she survived.

He was obsessed with EE history and older characters not building up the new. Both Whitney and Jay were held as support acts in two key families so that the round the table stuff looked full! He clearly disliked the young women but did little with Jay. The actors playing Peter and Jonny jumped as they were not happy.
