We could probably take up the whole forum discussing US soap actors and their plastic surgery but I'm curious which British soap actors have had work done.

The first one that comes to mind is obviously Sam Womack but are there any others past and present that have changed their appearance through cosmetic surgery?

I remember Carley Stenson who played Steph in Hollyoaks having a nose job whilst she was still in the show.

Lynne Perrie who played Gail's mother in law from hell, Ivy Tilsley, was probably the first most notable one. She had her lips done in the early 90's and it was reported that her sudden, unannounced change in appearance played a part in her sacking from the show.

Beverly Callard looks like she's had quite a bit of work done, I saw some old clips of Corrie from when the McDonalds first arrived and she looked like a different person. I also think the woman who plays Maria (can't think of her name) has had work done, i saw old clips of her and didn't realize it was Maria. Alison King has had a ton of botox, she can barely move her face. I also question if Helen Worth has had a face lift looking at clips of Gail from 10+ years ago makes me question her.

The actress who plays Leyla has had her nose done. No official confirmation but someone put a pic of her from five years ago alongside a photo of her from last year and you can see the difference.

Lacey Turner had a boob job years ago during her first stint.

Jessie had Botox or something. She really struggled with her facial expressions during the baby swap drama,

Nick Tilsley, he looks nothing like he did in 2002.

You have me analysing her now! I don't think she's had a facelift but I suspect she has had an eyelift around 2010. Her eyes looked a bit different, enough to slightly change her face. Looking at her in photos I've never noticed how small her head compared to her body. She never looks that disproportionate on tv.

Yes was just about to mention Lynne Perrie. There was such huge media interest in her cosmetic surgery!

Her eyes are definitely different but also if you look at old clips from the 00's her face seemed to be a lot looser than it looks now, her face seem very tight now in comparison.

Samia who plays Maria had a boob job as a confidence booster in 2013 but nothing else!!

IDK when I was watching old clips of Corrie from when she first joined I didn't even recognize her, her face looked completely different. You compare her to the others in her age group like Sarah and Fiz who basically look the same as they did 15 years ago.

When she first joined she was portrayed as a sweet but frumpy little thing, with no make up & shabby clothes!!
She underwent a complete makeover from the late Maxine at the end of 2001 & from then on she has aged pretty much normally as far as I can see!!

Maria and Michelle in Corrie have both had boob jobs whilst in the show.
Chas Dingle in Emmerdale looks like she's had a lot of work done!

Claire King (Erica) in Corrie confessed to having plastic surgery in order to get work.
She claimed women over 50 couldn't get jobs without it.

Do you think its possible the makeover was done to coincide with the work the actress had done? Obviously she's way to young to have had a face lift but I was thinking she had other work done to her face.

No I don't!! I have an episode of Heartbeat with her in it from 1999, the year before she joined Corrie, & she looks exactly like a young version of the Maria from 2001+!!
It's the frumpy hairstyle & no make up that makes very early Maria look so different!!

Sam Womack has always looked pretty much the same. If she had a nose job she must have been very young at the time, certainly before she became famous.

He was fit in 2002.

She did Eurovision when she was 18 so if she has had one it must have been after that

Barbara Windsor had a neck lift around ten years ago following an illness.

Jennifer Moss, who played little Lucille Hewitt in Coronation Street also had a nose job, though I don't think it was well publicised at the time.

Claire King had a facelift a couple of years ago, and it was televised.

Of course, the most famous was Lynne Perrie. She had her first facelift in 1974, but it didn't receive a great deal of attention. Twenty years later, she had those lip implants, ordering the surgeon to pump more fat in, even though he advised against it, because she 'wanted her money's worth.'

Sam Womack has the same facial expression whatever the scene. I assume that is down to botox.
