I don't think they were even convinced that he had hurt Jane. They were probably expecting her to come waltzing in with the cake at any moment.
Quite. Or they just assumed it was some kind of accident for which he was wrongly blaming himself.

Yes, that registered with me after Kat. I rarely watch an episode twice, but I'm going to have to watch this one again because there was so much going on. I can't even remember everyone who was there when Bobby made his confession.
Practically everyone left who didnt know I think

Even Tracey probably knows by now

Great episode tonight! I think the little bloke who plays Bobby has been doing some fine work! Tough role for such a little lad.

Yesss, FINALLY!

It took the actions of a competent paramedic team to do so, but Psycho Bobby has finally been thrown to the wolves [the best thing for everyone, and himself].

Had to chuckle when Ben was fine with Bobby attacking [and killing someone], but only losing it when it became apparent they'd tried to pin Lucy's murder on him, though. From one psycho to the next...

Must Eastenders follow every cliché in the book? This week it was the tried and trusted 'character being especially happy before finding out devistating news' trope. The icing on the cake being Ian's heartfelt speech for Jane seconds before being told she'd been murdered by his son..

Did we really need to listen to Martins speech in full? Who knew something could be both vomit and yawn inducing at the same time?

Ian's attitude towards Bobby is really confusing. It's either all or nothing. One minute he's prepared to do whatever it takes to protect him from the police, the next it appears he wants to disown him. All thanks to a 30 second pep talk from Mick. There's no middle ground or gradual shift, it's one extreme to the other in the time it takes to walk across the square.

BIB He seems to have forgotten that he mugged her just before she died and that could just as easily have killed her....still he got Jay to take the blame for that.

I like Jane, but am willing to see her go down for Bobby's murder if they do something really shocking and edgy for the Climax, and after tonight's episode, I think we could be getting that.

If they don't make the effort and Max just returns to The Square like nothing has happened, with little impact, I'd rather they kept Jane on the show. I like the character and she deserves an explosive exit. Laurie Brett is superb!

I think this was an EXCELLENT episode, I honestly loved it!!! I <3 Martin's (James Bye)speach him and Lacey have a great chemistry, he reminds me of Bradley. I hope they manage to stay together and happy! Its nice to see happy relationships!

It felt like lots of doors closing and new ones opening if you know what I mean?!

10/10

True.

But Bobby is worse than Ben, at least you could say that when Heather was killed it was done in a fit of rage and he didn't mean to kill her. Not only has Bobby killed once, when he attacked Jane with the hockey stick it was cold, calculated and premeditated. He's the most psychotic child the Square has ever seen.

On the contrary, everyone involved in the coverup needs to go to prison.

The Beales needs to be ostracised by everyone. I bet Abi feels stupid now. Getting her dad sent down for a lie AND a boyfriend who's gay.
The fallout should be and needs to be spectacular. But they're in a plot cul-de-sac. The Beales should be looking at prison and the community turn their backs on them. But that won't last and everybody will forget in a year. Characters will forget but viewers won't. It'll end up looking ridiculous if there aren't any long term consequences.

It's also a shame Cindy Jr isn't here to be involved in this mess and the prospect of looking at prison.

Before the attack on Jane bobby was similar to Ben. Neither of them meant to kill although had Jane reported it, bobby more than likely wouldn't have gone to prison.

But Bobby's attack on Jane was cold and calculated and afterwards he was quite cool and collected.

But we don't really know that do we. Ben had already attacked Jordan, pushed a woman down the stairs and, on the night Lucy was killed, he mugged her. Neither of them give a hoot about what happens to their victims, if someone upsets them they lash out and it's pot luck whether that person dies. Bobby attacked Lucy, he attacked Cindy, he pushed Jane down the stairs and now he's lashed out again, Two peas in a pod.

I swear everyone on the square is really thick.
"I killed mum, just like I killed Lucy"

'Hey, do you think Bobby really killed Lucy? Remember what Max said...'
'Don't be silly, they're just having a domestic!'
