During 2015 I downloaded free nook books from the Barnes & Noble UK web site, I have been trying for 2 daysto download from B&N but the only one that comes up is in the USA and doesn't allow international free books. If anyone can offer some advise I would be most grateful..

Sainsburys have took over the ebook sales for nook in the UK. All nook account holders had an email to migrate to sainsburys and a £5 welcome voucher

Thats interesting,, I never received one, so is it not possible to download any free ebooks any longer,,,

Not from Barnes and Noble, no.

Check the email address and spam folder for where you have your nook registered. I've had quite a few reminders.

Also any books which Sainsburys couldn't provide that I had bought previously from Nook were refunded to me.

I doubt they would have any interest in my details as I only ever dowloaded free ebook, I did this for my 80 year old mother who is disabled and can no longer visit the library. I used to download the books to my laptop then wirelessly place them onto the Nook but it looks as if we are stuffed unless anyone know of any other websites where I can download free ebooks,,, thank you for your help

They are giving you advice on how to use your Nook eBook Reader without a Nook UK account as the person before that pointed out that you you may need an account in order for your Nook to work.

As pointed out Sainsburys have took over the ebook sales for nook in the UK, you can get free ebooks from their website:

I transferred all mine to Sainsbury's.

They gave me a £5 voucher to get some more books.

I get a lot of old SF compendiums for about 50p each., so that was handy.

You can't download direct to the Nook though, now. You have to download to a Sainsbury's desktop app as a portable book format, then transfer to the Nook. Well that's what it said,. but when I did download them, it didn't require both these steps. My nook was connected to the PC, and the downloads went straight to the nook. Something like that.

I really enjoy it. I only paid £39 for a nook glowlight from Sainsburys in the first place.
