They need to rename this show so we don't expect any other kind of talent, just singing and dancing talent.

Mainly singing, it's worse than ever this year. Even the joke act singers are going through.

There's always someone moaning about this every year. There will always be a lot of singers and dancers. Aren't you used to it by now?

I think generally the public find these acts most appealing and the performances tend to be more powerful and dramatic, so they tend to win a lot of votes.

There are exceptions of course, dog acts are very popular and you get the occasional amazing dramatic act like Alex tonight, but the singers and dancers are never going to be a minority.

I don't think it's necessarily the public as a whole who find them most most appealing but those who are willing to vote (some people dozens of times for the same act).

I complain about this every year as I only watch it to see some interesting variety acts (of which there are getting fewer). However, do I ever vote for them?

Hell no!

The producers and judges want as many votes as possible. They know the obsessive voters tend to be for singers and dance groups have a crap load of friends and relatives who'll vote so they're more likely to push them through.

So it's our own fault. I'll still continue to whinge about it though.

I do vote (for free using the app) and haven't moaned much this year. Only dire act in the final is Mel and Jamie. Tumar KR were screwed but I like Balance.

Completely I'll whinge about it happily until they put some variety and decent acts through, I guess that day is far beyond reach so I'll continue moaning as people like to put it, just because their idea of entertainment are dogs walking on their two back legs, singing children, a half arsed impressionist and some choirs doesn't make it entertainment for everybody we want to see some humans abnormally twisting their bodies now that's entertainment! For me anyway

I am hoping the magician wins it. He is really good and he is serving in the armed forces so he is not the usual ghastly performing child or reality show wannabe.
