Are we looking at finally Roxy stepping out of the shadows of Ronnette and getting a storyline, EE not covered a drug addiction s/l in a while, could this finally be her time to shine?

Yes she plays a great soap druggie. No make up - tick, unkempt hair - tick, very cringy acting - tick. Can't wait for this story line 
It's a very poor story line so far. We've not been given enough background or reason why she would do this.
She's too old for this storyline. I know Roxy is dim but surely a woman of her age wouldn't be as stupid as this. It actually seems really out of character.

She owes lots of money, some of which she gave to Glanda so I'm guessing the dealers are making her pay the rest by smuggling drugs into the country inside her.

I think Roxy really proved she could standalone when Ronnie was in prison
Rita has really improved as an actress over the years as well
I actually really liked Roxy when she was Land Lady during the 2013 era in between Alfie being sacked by Phil and Mick joining. She seemed like a natural fit in the place. They haven't done much with her since then really.
Hopefully her new direction will be straight into a grave next to Aunty Peg.

That's probably Billy's job...
Depending whereabouts in her body they are I wouldn't think an over the counter propriety laxative would get them out quick enough. A prescription one would be better but could leave her dehydrated. If she went to A&E they would involve the police and she would lose them. That wouldn't please her 'sponsors'.
