So it seems Bobby is about to get his comeuppance. Surely Ian, Sharon and Mick won't cover it up any more. I enjoyed the Lucy so until Max got arrested but dragged on too long now, and will be glad to see the end of it. But it has proved the actual whodunnit part of a storyline can last 10 months as long as it doesn't dominate.

This story will never be over for as long as Ian is in the show as his 13 year old son murdered his daughter. So it will always be here now as its part of his character.

People need to get used to this. Its not like an affair where people can move on overnight. Everytime Bobby reappears the story is here, and Bobby is 14 now so will be in and out the show for years to come.

At least DTC looks like he put this story to rest before SOC had the chance to take over

Would of been shady to dump a dead horse of a storyline on your predecessor.

I think people are referring to the covering up part which had become a drag on the show.

I quite enjoyed the story and actually glad its not rushed.

Its a story about a women who can never have children who wanted them got that taken away by a related beale child only to adopt bobby only to kill his sister.

What would you do and lengnth to protect your child.
You have to bring the story to life,
bring other people and frame them
the cumlprit is revealed to one or two people
then more people know
goes quiet
then hell lose and cover up and then it ends

This has been EE biggest storyline and i'm glad other characters have been involved like Kathy, Sharon, phil, ben, martin, mick and now Stacey ;0

I agree with you. Its been the biggest storyline the show has done in a decade and people are still talking about it. Twitter once again has exploded tonight with Bobby being the worldwide top trend. If it was a dead horse of a story this wouldn't be the case.

Storylines don't have to be good to get everyone talking about them. The story was brilliant up to the live reveal, elements of it have been good since but for the most part it has been convoluted and ridiculous. People are talking about it because they are releaved that it might actually start to go in the right direction now and the nonsense of half the square covering for bobby will stop.

This is just an opinion its not fact. Everyone I know has really enjoyed it and all the comments I've read on Twitter and facebook say the same. Only place I see negativity about EastEnders is on here in fact. This forum.

And I'm sure the fact that the reveal came on Stacey's wedding day is an indicator of misery to come for the Fowler newlyweds as she'll no doubt be jumping on "Free the Walford One" campaign to bring about immediate tension with poor old Martin.

erm, yeah, of course he is as far as TPTB are concerned, he is guilty - he will remain in prison until someone goes to the police and tells them it was Bobby who killed Lucy, not Max..............

seeing as Bobby only blurted it out on last nights episode I thnk Max will probably stay where he is for a few more episodes

He could stay there. IF the Ian etc. pursuade the killer kid to not state any of them knew

or the police do not believe he killed his sister...His bashing jane they think put him into a shock false confession

I never said it was fact. And there are plenty of other places where people write their opinions and review on eastenders, some of them positive some not. I haven't met many people who have enjoyed the aftermath of the reveal and - to quote the phrase you have used - the only place where a few people have suggested they have enjoyed the full storyline "is on here in fact".

Mick, Stacey and Lauren are not going to keep quiet...and that's just for a start.

Agreed. Posting on a forum is about giving opinions. Why liking or disliking something ends up in a discussion about facts is strange. The only facts are the storyline on screen.

I was surprised at how few people tuned in for Bobby's big confession last night. Two years of waiting for the truth to come out and not even a blip in the ratings. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the episode.

I still like this storyline. It's not perfect but it's more entertaining than those hags Denise and Carmel moaning about their love lives or the Carters droning on about the same boring rubbish.

Friday's episode shifted this preposterous story into completely new territory for me. I loved it.

I literally switched off after the live reveal last year. I had been gripped by the Who Killed Lucy plot right up until Bobby was revealed as the killer. However, seeing him attack Jane, he clearly has serious mental health issues and is a danger to himself and others. Even down to the way he was purposefully rubbing the blood onto his clothes felt quite psychotic. Parts of it almost felt like he was pretending to act surprised because he felt that's what he should do, but really he wanted to revel in what he had done.

What I don't want to see is this going in the same circles as Lucy's murder. It needs a quick, succinct resolution that sees Jane die and Bobby get sent to a mental home.
