For Martin's sake Stacey really shouldn't involve herself in the welfare of Max.

This storyline is farcical, ridiculous, way over the top. But is it making me want to tune in to see what happens next? Yes.

Is there anything else exciting or interesting going on at the moment? No.

I literally switched off after the live reveal last year. I had been gripped by the Who Killed Lucy plot right up until Bobby was revealed as the killer. However, seeing him attack Jane, he clearly has serious mental health issues and is a danger to himself and others. Even down to the way he was purposefully rubbing the blood onto his clothes felt quite psychotic. Parts of it almost felt like he was pretending to act surprised because he felt that's what he should do, but really he wanted to revel in what he had done.

What I don't want to see is this going in the same circles as Lucy's murder. It needs a quick, succinct resolution that sees Jane die and Bobby get sent to a mental home.”

By switching off you've allowed yourself to miss the preposterous part of this story. It was obvious that Bobby had killed Lucy deliberately in much the same way he attacked Jane. Just different weapon and Lucy was sat down. I agree that it needs a quick succinct resolution now. Hopefully it now happens. The major issue for me is the damage it's done to characters in show.

I agree Bobby deliberately killed Lucy. All that crap about him not realising it never rang true. He kept her letter from Ian until just the right moment and put the murder weapon under the Christmas tree. Has everyone forgotten him pushing Jane down the stairs, beating Denny up and ripping Denny's spider apart limb from limb? PSYCHO!!!!

It's a shame the immediate aftermath of Bobby being revealed as the killer last year was not followed up on with what we're getting now. That's the storyline I was hoping to see but instead the coverup has been dragged out for another year. I'm not saying I haven't enjoyed seeing Max sent to prison or the other stuff that's happened but Psycho Bobby is much more interesting to me than the Beales covering for him.

I'd quite like Jane to have dreadful brain and spinal damage and need round the clock care for the rest of her life, and Ian to be locked up for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

But then I've always had a nasty streak.

That's about it really. People are excited because it might finally bring an end to this farce. The Lucy murder and subsequent cover-up has dragged on for far too long. If it was just Ian and Jane involved it might be a bit more feasible, but too many people are aware that Bobby is the killer.
I think they've squeezed as much as they can out of this particular storyline. Wind it up and let us have something ineteresting and new, that's what the writers are paid to do.

I've got a feeling that Bobby is going to retract his confession and turn it on Jane saying that she killed Lucy and he only thought he killed her because they had a fight. He will probably lie and say that Jane told him it was his fault Lucy died because of their 'fight'. Pretty sure Ian won't cover for him if he tries to switch the blame onto Jane...

But all her injuries were blows to the back of the head weren't they? If they were having a fight, she'd have a wound to the front or there would be defensive injuries as well. The boy walked into the pub and said 'just like I killed Lucy'...I don't think he can switch it on to Jane. Although Walford Cops are not exactly Scotland Yard...

Yeah, I guess that's true but I just don't think this storyline is going to end so soon. They've dragged it out for so long, they will probably keep dragging it out although it does need to end soon. Lol

Martin is a good person and will (hopefully) be as horrified as everyone else that an innocent man is in prison. Having a wife who looks out for her friends is a good thing. I doubt she does any more than contact his brief and his daughter.

BIB 1. That is what got me irritated last year. As many folks on the Who killed Lucy thread said it just didn't make sense the accident yarn that Jane spun. As for all the stuff since it has just been endless filler waiting this outcome. What annoyed me was so many folks getting caught up in the cover-up. Lauren and Sharon being the two that annoyed me most!!

BIB 2. That is why it fell so flat last spring / summer as everyone was ready for the denouement in the live episode and then for the fallout.

As for Max I don't dislike him like you do but that plot line was EE at its worst. It entered nonsensical territory just to facilitate his temporary exit. Going off to see Lauren just too easy!!
