Bobby Ewing smiling at the camera and saying, "Good morning!" in the shower is jumping the shark. As a whole season was for nothing and in the imagination of Pam.

People saying "EastEnders has jumped the shark" has jumped the shark.

So you haven't heard of someone hallucinating before?

Charlie Cotton appeared to Nick this way in 2000. So the show must've jumped the shark then too. It's a meaningless term that gets thrown around way too often.

You always have to lower the tone.

Sorry if it's bandied about a lot, I don't read all the threads on here, but I did think it was the worst episode I'd ever seen.

First tv crush was Fonzie and ironically Bobby Ewing

After all the years you and Sorcha have been on here, the tone cannot get any lower

That was fabulous! I want an EE spin-off with Peggy and Pat, going around the Square haunting the residents.

I loved seeing Pat again, but I'd rather they hadn't actually done it. They were catering to Babs and weren't telling a decent story.

It's ridiculous but by no means "jumping the shark" - for that watch Hollyoaks

I was thinking, perhaps Pat could be a regular thing. Whenever someone dies in Albert Square, Pat comes to escorts them to the other side. She could be Walford's very own Carol Ann Freeling. Only, you know, older and stuff. She'd get LOADS of screen time.

Kathy's return was the most recent shark-jumping moment, although soaps are often so sensationalist that I don't think it's truly possible for them to jump the shark completely.

Didn't it really jump the shark when Den returned?

The Lucy plot jumped the shark a LONG time ago.

Live Episode was the jump the shark moment. The time since has been the ramifications of the jump.

Two specific incidents that were JTS were Kathy back from the dead and Jane's body lugging and dumping being told and accepted with minutes.

Stacey also hallucinated earlier this year and saw Charlie Slater driving her taxi after his death. I think it's a nice touch.

Jumping the shark has always been subjective though.
